it was funny. i just decided to go lvl up my other charas then i suddenly think i should go to my main to check on loque. i didnt expect to find him so i flew around, and lo and behold, my scanner went off. i saw no one else in the area so i set a trap and tamed him. his name is aoshi and right when i tamed him a death knight came up, waved, and left. it was cool. i am in shock. i cant beilive i got him

I remember my Loque tame. I had spent a week camping him. The 2 nights before his tame I had an account of his death, and I had stumbled upon his corpse myself. I decided that I was going to have people come out and camp a few of his spawn points at the same time he had been killed the nights prior. So I hired a couple of people, and as I did my usual rounds getting ready to park my hunter on her location, my NPCscan went nuts. I looked up to see him walking towards my mount. He was at the Pitch location. It was about 10 minutes before I had scheduled my posse. I didn't have enough people to camp every location for the hour. The irony was that I was going to drop the Pitch spawn point from the camping schedule. I was shaking, and my boyfriend ended up actually doing the tame. He talked me through everything as I was basically in tears of joy. Loque was my first rare so I was freaking out.

Gratz again! My favorite skin and roar in the game for sure.

I found my Loque in kind of a random way too.

I have *never* seen her since then (mine is a girl, so that's how I view the creature).

I had only leveled my hunter because I wanted to tame Loque. I was having a hard time getting the hang of hunter-craft, but I grit my teeth and buckled down and DID IT. Finally I was high enough level to tame Loque. Around 78-ish.

I decided to fly around a bit and see if I could find anything at all. I was fully prepared that I might spend a few weeks in the Basin before ever seeing Loque. Imagine my shock when my /target macro actually TARGETED Loque!

My hands were shaking as i set down my frost trap, and it was the longest 20 seconds, I swear. But the feeling of elation when I was successful! Ohhhh so epic.

I think Loque is a he because his little NPC tag says Mate of Harkoa, which is a big ole female kitty in Zul'drak. But really, there's bound to be more than one or two swirly dot laser cats, right?

But yes, finally getting a rare you want or bumbling into one is an awesome feeling.

does anyone have a story of taming loque? more stories? what bout ones of loosing him to another hunter? i remmember finding arctius and just when i wad gonna tame him, a troll came down, killed him, flew away

I finally got him after randomly searching for him since LK went live. I never camped him or any other pet. I found him at the farthest east gorilla area. The one by the waterfall. I flew there and hit my targeting macro--nothing. Then this large spotted white beast suddenly appeared directly beneath me. I hit the macro again and Illidan's voice yelled "You are not prepared" as it does when it acquires a target. He was right next to a black Gorilla and was walking slowly past it. I moved to a better line of sight where the Gorilla would not aggro, landed, dismissed my cat, and hit tame. No trap or anything else. He came at me, hit me weakly a few times, then seemed to pounce on top of me but the tame continued and he soon was smaller and standing next to me. I was still standing there an hour later trying to come up with a name. I accessed a Sindarin-English dictionary and put together the words Faer meaning Spirit and Delu meaning deadly. He is now known as FaerDelu and accompanies me everywhere, even into my ICC raids. The spirit mend ability has proven invaluable and I have accepted the loss of Spirit strike on my Spirit Beast pets. The only one I don't have now is Arcturis and since I don't really care for him that much, there's no hurry to get him.

you kno, theres no better feeling than finding that creature and getting in a succesful tame. its amazing

I've tamed Loque three different times on three different hunters.

My first time was on my friend's hunter. I waited a week, camping the spawn point in the gorillas by the wasps. When he finally decided to show himself, I was shaking with excitement. I had about 1-2 seconds of my tame left when another Alliance hunter (I was Alliance at the time) tried to steal the tame from me. I remember panicking and stealing Loque back. Thankfully the other hunter gave up and let me have him. That was probably the most stressful tame I'd ever done.

My next two tames were much more uneventful. I don't remember how long it took my troll huntress to find him, and I believe my orc huntress found him in about three days. I'm not sure if he's not as popular on my server or what, but both times I found him, no one was around and I tamed him at level 76 (the lowest you can be to tame him) without a hitch. The most excitement I had was accidentally trapping a gorilla instead of Loque and taming him despite him beating my face in.

I've seen Loque multiple times on my hunter.

First time I saw him was when I was camping Aotona. I have never liked Loque but I decided to ditch my worm and tame him. I ended up really liking the buggar just because I started thinking about how COOL he would look in real life, plus my boyfriend kinda swayed me a little. I ended up abandoning him when I found Aotona.

Second time was about a month afterwards. I was doing random flybys in the hopes he would be there. But when he was actually up, I didn't have the guts to abandon any of the pets I had for him, so a guildie ended up taming.

Third time was the next day... no one was online and NO one wanted to tame him, so I ended up thinking 'might as well get this over with' and I killed him for the achieve.

Fourth time was the day after we got bigger stables! Did a flyby and he (er, excuse me, SHE now) was up, so I tamed her. Ended up naming her Moonstorm.

Fifth time was a random flyby again early in the morning. Some guildies were on but only one hunter who was afk for a LONG time. I ended up taming him for a second time... was going to have them be mates but ended up abandoning.

Woot Grats thats awesome, i camped him for 4 weeks a few hours a day before i finally found him. I use him for everything even tho i got 2 more SB since then i just cant help but use him now all the time!

I haven't had any luck in my Loque Hunt yet (been looking for him since the new stable slots opened up), but I'm sure he'll turn up eventually. I'm planning on naming him Dreamer, to match Reverie, my Skoll.

Congrats on your tame!

Here's my story: It was back when I was camping King Krush last month when I was taking a break by the river that's northeast of the Maker's Perch (or is it the Terrace that's on that side? Ah, anyway.) and I'd been taking my frustrations out on the mammoths, dreadsabers, and rhinos for being red blips on the minimap and driving me insane and I was thinking about giving up looking for the King because I had /just missed him/ twice in the span of three days of my five day search. And on the other side of the river, where there's usually two mammoths and a bull mammoth, I watched Loque spawn.

I just sat there, talking to my best friend in guild chat and watching him pad around and at the time I was in two minds about taming him even though I had no pet with me at the time and my best friend swayed me into taming him after I remembered I'd had thoughts on and off about possibly bringing Sandstorm (Toph's Dishu) back as this skin as a reincarnation. So I cross the river, lay my trap down, and the tame goes smoothly. I've included a screenshot of the beginning of the tame that I want to share with you all, because of how adorable it is due to Loque's placement in the shot. Then the next day, he shows up again, and my best friend finds him, then barely a minute later, she starts going nuts telling me that she's found Krush, and five frustrating tries later, I finally, finally get him.

Loque was my first spirit beast and he renewed my spirits, which helped me tame King Krush, so he's very special to me. He and Gondria are my lucky kitties, and I'll never trade them for anything. *hugs them*
