I think we are all missing the real issue here. The rats are Dual Wielding guns. Is this a glimpse of weapons future or simply blizzard taunting us with cute furry genocide?

OMG!! They are duel weilding double barrel shotguns!!!
DAMN! Those rats are better trained then we are!!!! I demand to see the rat Trainer and learn to duel-weild guns!!

(Edit: I didn't realize that the voice of Leonardo from the animated series is also the voice of Malygos and Medivh. That is AWESOME.)

Heck, I think even one item with a name like [Dual Eagles of the Desert]
That showed akimbo guns on the character, only with regular stats, or like suggested above, faster speed and lower damage, would work well.
