I haven't tested them, but they are undead creatures and not beasts... so I am guessing probably not.

well with the recent mobs has been turned from undead and demons into tamable beast(dogs), I was hoping the bird would be finally tamable so that my future undead hunter will have a great bird bird.

a lot of creatures are really 2 things like hellbore they are both deamons and pigs lets face it same for the plauge hounds they are clearly dogs and demonic at the same time. The thing is with undead creatures they were beasts died and became undead same as how human dies becomes undead its not still human.
But
Because of the undead hunter influence i would like to see undead / plauged animals become beasts purly for the undead hunter. Atm we have a ghostwolf that was removed and disesed bear / wolfs and plaugehounds aka dogs. A undead hunter with a moth or a gorilla just dosent seem right to me i would like to see these becomes beasts to undead hunters i think they are gr8 but with other hunters i think not.
so
my opinion is to let them be tameable for undead hunters but due to game mecanics (spelling) let then be tamable for all and bring fourth more undead skins of birds.

I'm gonna have to second this. They're undead, not diseased or regular beasts.

My beta troll was in the area so I check up on them for you. Still undead.

awty anyways. Thought they joined the demon boars and the undead/demon dogs clubs and became tamable.

Thing is, the boars were never classified as undead or demons. They were just beasts but weren't tameable. The dogs are half and half. Half were considered beasts but only one type was tameable and the other were considered demons, yet the demon thing didn't make sense because mages seemed to control them in Nexus and demons are more of a warlock thing so I can only imagine they decided to make them all beasts for that reason and to give more diversity to the dogs.

Actually helboars were classed as demons. But demons aren't a real family. All kinds of living things, humanoid or animal or other could be under demonic influence. And probably to different degrees. As Zwiggy pointed out, it's possible for something to be a beast or humanoid AND demonic at the same time.

as far as I remembered leveling in outland the hellboars were tagged as demon but maybe I was wrong. And the dogs in tirisfal aren't them currently tagged as undead?

I know what you're all saying about demons vs. undead, but damn! I'd love one of those birds!!

I'm gonna sit here and cross my fingers that they do become tameable anyway.

Helboars and darkhounds are now demons, will be (tamable) beasts in cata.
Undead pigs -
1) undead pigs made tamable in 1.11.1 so hunters could get charge 6 (although for a time you couldn't learn it due to bugs)
2) consider their actual skin boarskinundead; and no this is not generic - the zombie bears and wolves by contrast are all "_diseased" (bearskinblackdiseased, wolfskindiseased, etc)
TB and the core hounds from MC and SMV are made of burning lava
Shale spiders are enchanted clusters of floating rocks.
Etc etc.
Tag only matters until Blizzard decides to change it.

You weren't wrong. My lock had fun enslaving helboars and pretending he had a "tenacity pet".

well can a beast can be an undead at the same time too? Or is it nothing more than just a construct made of rotting flesh and bones?

Since it is Blizzard's game... only they can answer that from the game standpoint.
Oh... and if the people in the beta think these birds should be made tameable... just gather up enough friends and have them all send in feedback on the birds. Saying how they would make great Undead hunter pets and should be made tameable.

I'd love to have these guys as tameable. Same with a skeletal windserpent--are there any that aren't bosses? It'd be perfect for an undead hunter.

well, kinda off topic...I kinda see those (idk whatelse to call them) Franken-dogs that roam the outside icc (and are the same models as those 2 mini-bosses before fester and rot) as Undead BM pets
