I've been bugged lately to find out if the quest for the Worg Pup Mini-pet was removed in Cata? I do not have a beta key, otherwise I would check for myself. I'm mainly curious for I really want the Pup on my Worgen Warrior. <3 So, if any beta holders either know, or could check up on this, please do.

Feel free to point me to where ever if this has already been answered, but I saw nothing on the forums so far.

Two other pets that we can expect to continue on into Cataclysm are the Smolderweb Hatchling and the Worg Pup. A blue poster has confirmed that the quests to obtain these two companions will still exist, however the quests will be adjusted to fit into the revamping of Azeroth.

Glad to hear the worg pup is still safe. I still have several alts that have yet to get that quest done on.

On the subject of disappearing/safe mini pets... I've been wondering about one quest pet in particular.
I'm not sure if it's been asked yet, but does anyone know how the Distress Beacon quests (for the mechanical chicken pet) fair?

I'm curious about that myself, mainly because the chicken in Tanaris used to spawn some scorpids. Hmm .. I bet the pre-mades aren't marked with that quest. I should take one down there and see if I have a !.

Ah, the mechanical chicken? Please do. Only one of my characters have it. Be interesting to find out if it's still around. o:

I hope the chicken's still around. My future Goblin needs all the mechanical minipets she can get. x)

Many years later ... The chicken is there, but my pre-made doesn't have a !. They could just be marked with the quests, though.
