Everyone having fun with this?
I imagine for hunters, druids, and shamans -- who are intune with the earth -- this is hard to do. Not hard as in they're difficult but hard on their hearts as disguising themselves and killing elementals goes against everything they stand for.

I agree. I think that Cata horde will become the bad guys again as opposed to the nutral team, just because Garrosh is running the show.

Not quiiiite what I meant for this topic to steer towards. >>; *sprays anti-bashing spray* I was meaning the event as a whole.

Ah well. In the eyes of the original horde, he is a hero. Thats why Thrall put him in charge in the first place....even though Garrosh didnt want to be in charge.

See, here's where our opinions differ greatly. :D
I call it lorefuck, and you might call it something like character development.

I don't know Garrosh all that well, to be honest so I'm not sure which it may be. His character development, from my perspective, doesn't happen until Cata when he learns humility.

My orc didn't have too much trouble with the quests so far, but my draenei was having serious doubts.
(Especially when her disguise disappeared without her noticing and she ended up in front of King Wrynn in her bra and panties.)

Yeah, but Garrosh's changes were no worse than King Chins McPonytail going from a total wanker to a more filled out character.

/nod at Novika.
IMHO Garrosh is exactly what the Horde needs. I love Thrall, of course, but he's a little to easy on the destroying the Alliance.

Considering the alliance is the least of their worries and Garrosh actually PUNISHES someone for harming the alliance without authorization.......he wont be straying far from Thrall's ways.

Yeah, which made me cringe when King Chin McPonytail was like BLARGARAGHARGHLE HORDE STOLE MY BICYCLE. At least he developed. And hey, Lore develops and changes over time. Personally, my Tauren druid is an ex-Grimtotem who sees this cultist business as sad, but sometimes things must be put down.

Nah not having much fun with it, seeing as how the elementals spawn in the city and I lag out so I'll have to wait till it's like four in the morning to do the quest.

I'm liking the alliance RP better thus far than the horde RP. And no, not because of Garrosh, though he is a factor. There's something really cool about seeing ALL the alliance leaders in the throne room in Stormwind. They all sound reasonable and respectable (even Mekkatorque, who serves as excellent comic relief!) and it's good to see this, especially since we're going to lose Magni pretty soon.
As for killing elementals as a shaman, it's no different than quests that require errant elementals to be killed. It's a necessary thing to be done in order to retain balance. At least for me.

If you did that in Aman'Thul last weekend when I was logged-in, I might be a witness too.

I parked my mains, a NE Druid and a Tauren Druid, in their faction's respective throne rooms to witness the events.
I wonder though, why are the Alliance leaders in complete attendance at their meeting while only Vol'jin is present at the Horde meeting. ? You don't really have to answer that here or in detail. Pretty much, I think it is part of story development and story symbolism.
