This might be dumest Question but...

Hey there this could be dumb to ask but i thought Blizzard might of done it... but you never know... Since Cataclysm almost here... if no one has the Cataclysm kit... Will it make those Hunter players not able to tame the new Pets, like they do in Northern as in you couldn,t go over there til you had the exp kit.

What you guys think ?

You won't be able to tame the pets in the new Cataclysm-only areas, no. But the pets in basic Azerothian zones will be open.

*bites tongue* ... ok, I gotta say it.

Really? You would really want someone who can't afford the expac or is new to the game to be excluded from content in non-expac zones? Because you'd rather have less competition for rare spawns??? Really????

Less competition is nice, but I have to agree with the Sarayana. That's harsh man. :( To be able to see a rare and not tame it. I couldn't buy Wrath right away when I had to buy a new account...

Though I kinda hope Northrend is less crowded. *shiftyeyes* *pitches tent*

This expansion is very unusual in its division of what is and what is not an expansion zone. We didn't think much about how level 68 hunters who didn't buy Wrath couldn't tame level 68 beasts in Northrend. Obviously this expansion is different, but I don't see wildstormz's question as being that off-the-wall.

(In other words, be nice.)

I think the question itself was innocent. However, the sentiment that non-Cata hunters shouldn't be able to tame new additions to Azeroth didn't go over well.

I'm in agreement that if a hunter has access to an area and is of the appropriate level, then they should be able to tame the pet(s) in question. Wildstormz is entitled to his opinion, but it's a rather selfish (and to a certain degree, cruel) viewpoint.

In analysis it would be, but I think he meant the whole response kinda flippantly :)

And if that's the case, I apologise. I always do try to be nice (though clearly I fail at times  ), but I just don't see anything in his response to indicate that it's a joke or anything of the sort, so ultimately he'd have to clear that up.

And Mania, I wasn't reacting to the question. I was reacting to the reaction. I think the question is perfectly reasonable, given that not everyone reads WoW blogs as religiously as, uhm... some. *cough* But the reaction, the way it reads, I can't see as reasonable. It would be great if I'm wrong and wildstormz was indeed joking.

For what it's worth, I read it the same way Sarayana did. I don't see any real humor in the reply.

Yeah, I apologize if my response seemed harsh but I didn't get much of a joking tone out of the post and sadly there are people who might think that folks without the expansion shouldn't have the new things too.
