I ran into the pet summoning bug in the worst possible way tonight. I've been after the Old Cliff Jumper for absolutely ages, but he got oneshot by an apparently jealous dismissed spirit beast, when I finally found him. :<
I was obviously quite frustrated and thought of killing a few Mangy Silvermane to pay up for my loss, but I decided to draw my frustration down instead. x3
And I think i'm gonna keep the "never gonna catch it.." mentality with everything since it seems to throw rare spawns into my face. ._.
Quick doodle, but I've always imagined him as a very old, mischievous and sly worg. :3

Very nice artwork! I love how it keeps the feel of the worg model with the facial fur and large fangs. Great expression on him, really brings out the characteristics you mentioned. I recently found Old Cliff Jumper for myself as a random tame sort of occurrence, but he's grown on me a lot.

You'll get him. I tamed him as a level 42 horde hunter in a rp-pvp realm back in TBC and you can imagine the many ganking attempts I had to endure since Old Cliff Jumper spawns relatively near to the alliance quest hub. It took me two days of on and off every few hours to finally found him. And yes despite having nuramoc and skoll, he is still my orc's main pet .

I don't know what bug you're referring to, but I'm really sorry to hear it. I'm sure you'll get him though!

Yeah, I learned on the PTR that sometimes dismissed pets (specifically my Loque) suddenly come out sometimes and one-shot the mob I'm trying to tame.

I now make 1000% sure that I've put it on Passive, THEN dismissed, just in case.

But anyway, that's a really good pic. It looks almost feline, the way he's sitting there all regal and lionish--the whiskers etc around his muzzle add so much too <3

Ouch, probably painful, I never honestly understood the new stables but if i went to an important taming camp, i was taking out all of my pets from summon(for example when i went to tame Loque).

Ouch! >.< I occasionally wish Kilrogg was a pvp server, but the whole idea of getting ganked while camping/taming just makes me shudder!

I know i'm going to enjoy the Deathwing event when it goes live, but.. I can see this happening oh, so clearly.

Ahaha, oh god that's funny. Brings up a good point though...Deathwing kills everything in the area, so that could theoretically apply to rares too....I feel sorry for the poor person who has that happen. >.>

xD haha! I'm afraid it's BoP. Also, I've got a very unsteady hand so the lines are really shaky and sketchy. X_x Got lot more to learn about anatomy and art in general.

And I honestly wonder, if Mr Chin is going to cause us a nasty headache by taking down any possibles rares with his breath of death. =/ Might be worth poking a bliz staff about it, but I'm allergic to the official forums. ._. Trolls make my eyes swell.

aww im so sorry that happened i know how u feel i was looing for araga a guildie said she was up i dismissed my warpie Sam.. went to tame araga and BAm sam popped out and killed her ._. i wish you all the luck on finding ocj he is a wonderful pet ( i have Him as a pet also )

Oooh my goodness! <3 Two whole days of continuous camping. I was fighting with a CSS and heard someone attack me ingame. Tabbed in and there he was!
Very happy hunter!


My addon didn't go ballistic though. o.O Which i suspect might be the reason I might've lost him to some passbyer before.

I've heard a few folks saying that they were tabbed out and only caught the rare because they tabbed in and moused over the mob... Seems the scan isn't flawless. Glad you caught him!!

And i've also heard that same from a few people. Even after clearing cache they just won't go off. Every rare that i've tamed so far, had to be done with a manual /macro spam (and in most cases accidentally getting attacked by them). >.<
I do love those wee heart attack moments when you find the beast you've been looking for absolutely ages. <3
