Well, there goes my theory of a single new special model rare for each zone. Twilight Highlands now has two and Deepholm still has zero...

Flying south across Twilight Highlands I came across a blip called Karoma, which might be familiar to those of you who were looking at the datamined rare names.

Karoma is the second spirit beast of the expansion, and he has the appearance of the old ghost wolf / wolf spirit form that hunters could once tame through a trick. I know people, having seen the name, speculated that this might be the case. Well, you were right!

Screenshots: And a screenshot of where I found him on the map: Oddly, unlike other spirit beasts, this guy was aggressive from the minute I saw him as a red blip on my map. He attacked me before I could start taming, when I was just trying to get a pic. I'm not sure if this is deliberate or a mistake. All other spirit beasts have been neutral.

Also of note, I saw Sambas just before I found him (new location, updated on his thread), so they don't share a spawn timer.

Must keep looking in Deepholm...

It's good to see that those datamined rares seem to be getting added to the game little by little.

I really hope that there won't be any unused models by the time the expansion is live.

Still so excited to see it in game! A little surprised to see they made it a spirit beast, but I think I can live with that. Amg, I'm going to be camping him SO HARD on live.

I'm torn on this one. I've really wanted this skin after missing out by not-very-long on the original spirit wolf. On the other hand, I now have Loque, whom I've really "clicked" with (unlike Gondria, where the connection just wasn't there). So even if I was to tame Karoma, I'm not sure how much action he'd see. Hmm.

For those who already had the ghost wolf tamed, this is devastating.

Hey look! The new Loque that only the truly dedicated (or really freakin' lucky) people are going to be able to get!

Hopefully this means the Spirit Crab will be unhunted for a while and I'll actually manage to get him

Oh and I hope it doesn't change the old wolves into Spirit Beasts for those who had them. That would really suck for non-BM Hunters that had one.

I'm happy you people without one can get it now, but seriously, that doesn't mean that I'll like not being able to use mine.

My plan is to at least not hunt rare beasts till 5 months after Cata has come out...which is how long it should take any normal person to get there.XD Anyway, by then the dust should have settled, and I live on a very quiet server. If you have trouble taming one of these things I would recomend moving to a server that says 'new players' because last I was in one of those places it was quiet~. There were practically no lv. 80s anywhere.
