Earlier today, I encountered something fairly strange lately on the Live servers. When in Redridge, hunting down those pesky Earth Elementals as part of the pre-Cata event I encountered the darnest thing. A small gray/white saber worg ran up and started attacking the elementals! It was labeled something along the lines of Elwynn Forest Wolf. At first I thought it was a hunter pet, but upon seeing the red name, I thought otherwise. After all the elementals were killed, it simply laid down and went to sleep before vanishing. o_O;

Couple things to note: The wolf was unable to be attacked (no sword popped up over it.) I could be mistaken, but I believed those wolves were to be found in Elwynn (Northshire, to be precise) with the Blackrocks if I remember right? There were no other wolves around with the same model, and it vanishing right after was strange. I can try and reproduce later, but I was so taken aback and it happened so fast, I had no chance for a screenshot. If anyone else has noticed this on Live, please put up a screenshot. <3

I don't think thats a bug. I think the mobs are supposed to do that. I've seen mobs every time, in Northrend even, killing the elementals ranging from dragonkin to undead scourge.

Did you have an Elwynn Lamb out with you? Because that specific wolf is the one who appears to eat your wee lamb.
The worg is targetable, but you cannot attack it. I didn't know it could attack other mobs (other than the lamb) though!

That might have been it. I think I did have my lamb out, but it had been out for a significantly long time. (Over 10 minutes, since I had gotten it out in Westfall, ran over to Duskwood, killed the elementals there, then ran all the way to Redridge to kill the Elementals there.)

I'll try and reproduce this later to see if that was it. <3

ALL of Azeroth is being attacked, not just us players and our towns.

I got help killing off invaders in Hellfire Peninsula from the Elite Colossi. And it was kind of nice having the elemental invaders help to whittle down the colossi as well! I got to finish the quest where you have to kill those. I think THAT was an unforeseen consequence!

You can sometimes have 10 wolves running after you, if you have the lamb out and you keep moving on your mount. It's quite hilarious. I can't remember what the spawn timer on the wolf is though. Probably from 3-10 minutes.
It's quite interesting though, that it's able to attack the elementals.
