Another 'Yay I Finally Got <pet>!!! Story'
Back when we had a measly 5 slots, I dumped my pretty girl for Skoll. When the stables were expanded, I was informed that GMs can restore old pets. Unfortunately, my GM said the tame was no longer in my logs. Restoring anything without proof it was ever there to begin with is a no-no, and I was ok with that. I'll just re-camp, I said, and the GM suggested to log out at a spawn point Monday night and get ready in hopes for a tame Tuesday morning.
2 weeks later, nothing. After many trips around the Basin today, I was disheartened. I ran through Dala after my outside-of-Dala dailies were done, snagged cooking/JC/fishing dailies. JC (armour relic) and fishing (ghostfish) can both be done in the Basin. Cool, one last swing before I wrap up dailies and head to bed. I switched specs (hey, Krush or Loque wouldn't be a bad catch if Aotona isn't out!), leapt off the ... blue pillar, summoned my broom <3, and began a quick sweep. OMGBIGBLOOPURPLZFLAPFLAPFLAP Landed, crap no Tame Beast on my bars
, open spell book, tame, knock-back , trap, tame, chew on hand, 3, 2, 1...
Unknown has reached level 77! Not 5 seconds later, a DK flew right over us. Holy good timing, Batman!
And that's my radtastic story. I named her LifeIsSweet, after a race horse I was fond of (she is now retired to be a mommy and is due Feb/March 2011!)
