Haven't seen anything on the Zangarmarsh fen striders and other tripod models lately. (The Black Stalker, anyone?)
Are these tamable in beta yet? If not, are there any signs they might become such even with time drawing ever closer to release date?

They're still not tameable, though I only checked the non-instanced ones. And if they introduced any new families this close to shipping, I'd be shocked. They wouldn't get much testing at all! They would be cool for a later patch, though. I want their family ability to be heat ray and for them to scream "OOOOOLAAAAAAAAAA" as they run into battle.

.. Oh the tripods.. the lovely fenstriders. I really want them. On a human hunter and run around - acting as if it wants to you know.. <insert reference to War of the Worlds>

Or make a human hunter named JohhnyRico with a beetle, Silithid or brainbug and run around with that Thermotastic Egg Timer or something and yell;

''Yeah. You know what this is. BOOM. Of course you do. You're some kind of big ugly smart bug." And just watch the "..."s.

Or run around Stormwind with Wolfslayer Sniper Rifle yelling:

''BUUUUUUUUUUUUUUuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuGS!''
