I can't decide which skin!

In Cataclysm, I have a spot open left in my wish list for a Silithud Colossi. The problem is I'm stuck between wanting Buru's Purple and Red skin or Lord Kri's Orange and Blue-ish skin. Which, in your opinions seems like the better looking skin. Considering both of them keep boss tags ethier one is going to be a very unique and cool pet.

They do? I thought Blizzard wasn't letting us keep boss tags since people who have the Beast cant keep the tags....

It's not so much being 'allowed to keep them' as it is they just decided BRD no longer needed the boss tag on The Beast mob, he's a level 60 visibly now. AQ is still considered an epic raid I guess so the mobs keep that.

Your best bet is to see what goes with your character better... now I am not talking about which one "clicks"... I am talking which one looks better at your side.
You second best bet.... flip a coin.

Doesn't really seem fair to those of us who tamed Beastie as a boss but que sera sera, I guess. ^^;

Ooh I see your problem. Those are my two favorites as well but I finally chose the red/purple skin.
My personal reason was due to my love of drawing (my hunter pets). I can see myself loving the process of doing Buru's colorations.

In some of the screenshots in Wain's post about the new tameable AQ beasts. Some of the bosses he tamed STILL had the boss tag. Now, consider this. The Beast wasn't really a raid boss, or for that matter was a required raid boss for the instance. Even some of the optional bosses in AQ, I don't think Blizzard would go out of there way to change the whole boss tag thing, and even if they did they would have to change the I.D or something of that sort for something that is just a cool-looking bonus for taming that NPC. No game-play advantage of any sort.
Besides, The Beast shouldn't have had the Boss tag, in my opinion.

Whether or not some may think he should or shouldnt have had it....fact of the matter is, he did have it. I personally think those of us who tamed him while he was a boss should keep what we got him for.
But onto the topic at hand: Tame them all and see which one matches you better. :3

Yeah, I did sort of the same thing when I had to pick between the Spiked Blue Outlands Wind Serpent, or the Green version. Ended up picking the Green one after killing alot of NPCs in Netherstorm.

I think your best bet is to go with what color suits your character the best.
I just hope they don't horribly nerf their size once they are tamed come Cataclysm.

Oh, I completely agree. Even before we had the reduced tame beast cast time we had to have alot of different sources of help just to get him, even at 80 for that boss tag. Those who have worked so hard just to get him for that purpose should still keep what they earned.

Oh I remember. I got mine just before the new patch. I had to have a shammy and priest help me get him. It was SO worth it. I named mine Deadpool. XD Quite fitting, if you know the reference. XD

True, and they also had recently nerfed the size. It's perfectly fine, in my opinion.
Also, Off topic...Wow! Two people from my old server, Moon Guard where I moved from a few months ago. Is that place still crazy? Left after two years for just wanting to play the game, and not deal with un-needed drama from a few certain insane people. You'd be surprised how many people I've met Hordeside who were a little...nuts in the head. Was known as Porrasou, King of trade for awhile.

The Beast would like to have a word with you, and 14 of your level 60 friends!
It's not his fault Blizz has made it possible for less and less people to tromp through the spire over time!

I know, I was there for those fun times back in vanilla. But as we gained more levels I realized The Beast didn't have anything that really made him "Feel" like a boss to me.

Aww, any mob which
eats Gnomes is worthy of a boss tag from that alone if you ask me!

PetEmote's corehound emotes makes it even more fitting...cause he often fights with himself or has a staring contest with himself...or sits on a helpless critter.

PetEmotes you say? I've never heard of it. I usually just macro'd in a few emotes for each specific pet I had and used them back when I was on Moon Guard.
