Hey all Just a quick question.. does anyone know if the drop rate for mounts in AQ40 have increased at all? The reason I ask is that I've been farming AQ40 for rep a while now, and have never seen the red bug mount drop. Tonight it dropped 3 times in 3 runs I don't mean to brag, I'm just curious. I know it would be wishfull thinking if they buffed the drop rates of AQ, ZG and the Baron's mount before they go, but I wouldn't put it past Blizz

So, has anyone seen these mounts drop more often or is it all just a kawinky dink?

Most likely, it wasn't. I remember someone asking in a blue post about buffing the ZG mounts before 4.03, and Blizzard said "No way, jose."

Are you sure the AQ 40 mounts are gettin removed? I've heard about the Strat mount and the entirety of ZG gettin removed...but never AQ 40 mounts O.o

Same... although Rivendare's mount is staying in-game as well. Only the ZG mounts are being removed as far as I know.

Hmm, I only assumed they were going as AQ40 as a raid is going.

And it's dropped 2 more times

By removed I mean, no longer able to get. I believe we can keep the mounts we have, but they will no longer be obtainable due to the instances being removed.

I haven't heard anything about that.. but then again I missed about a week and a half of cata news when my computer was under the weather. :/
At least the archeology bug mount will still be around for those that miss out on the AQ40 ones. If they remove AQ40 that is.
Also, if they do, I can hope that means we'll be able to use them outside of the instance. As it is, my poor bugs never get any exercise...

There was never a post about them removing the mounts from AQ. The 40-man version, to the best of my knowledge and research, will remain as is. AQ20, however, will now become a 10-man raid.

The only confirmed raid changes was that and the total removal of ZG and the mounts as well as a few other scattered drops in that raid. All other raids (vanilla and BC) will remain intact.

There's no way they'd remove both AQ raids after making like 90% of the mobs there tamable by hunters.

AQ 40 isn't getting removed. And infact they're letting us use our aq mounts elsewhere.

In beta we couldn't use AQ mounts elsewhere. They've said a million times it won't happen anytime soon (though honestly, at this point I don't think they've given any kind of good reason).

Beyond that, the AQ mounts aren't going anywhere. On every hunter I have gone in on beta to tame something with, I've gotten mounts to drop.

I don't think red's been buffed... while nothing's guarranteed, I usually see about 1 per run. Most I've ever seen is 4 per run, sometime back in BC.

Hmm, I can't find a source, but it's based off a rumor of the Ahn'Qiraj: The Fallen Kingdom in cataclysm. I should have stated it as a rumor, sorry about that mishap.

Thats a rumor they are only turning AQ20 into a 10man
