They’re cute, they’re portable, and they’re coming to the Blizzard Pet Store. But before they arrive, we wanted to give you a sneak peek of our two newest companions: Lil' Ragnaros and the Moonkin Hatchling. As announced at BlizzCon, the Moonkin Hatchling will follow in the charitable footsteps of the Pandaren Monk, with sales helping to benefit a good cause. More details, including the availability date and specific plans for the charity partnership, will be announced in the weeks ahead, so stay tuned!

I need Moonkin Hatchling ASAP! My druid is Balance/Resto, and I already have the mini-tree so. GIMME!

I wonder if the Moonkin are faction based or if they'll be available as separate purchases.

I hope separate as its for a good cause but then agian people QQ when it comes to buying things from the Blizz store :s Even though no one is forcing them ... I'll never understand that ^^'

Yeah, never understood that either. Also the ones who get up in arms over spending their 'hard-earned money' on something that isn't 'real'. Just because you can't hold it or physically possess it doesn't mean it has less value. I can spend $20-30 going out to a theater to see a movie, and I don't come home with anything from it. :3 I say if you want them and can afford them go for it. No use getting caught up in the whole digital purchase thing.

I wonder where you'll get the Lil Alexstrasza pet then.

Also, from what I observed, it's mosty the hardcore pet/mount/vanity things collectors who bitch about paying real money for pets.
And then, they come in two sub-groups. The ones who are just super-stingy, and want to moan about spending cash before they'll buy it, and the ones who think vanity stuff in WoW should be paid for by endless nights of camping/farming and noone will appreciate the hard work they put into getting something they think is special, when you can just buy it.

At least that's what I observed. There might be other kinds of people crying about it, but those are the only kinds I met.

QQ will ensue either way.

Anyway, for some reason, I think the Moonkin Hatchling will be of the faction you are, and won't have to buy two versions. Not sure about this, of course, but that's what I understand. Maybe because they never said it'll be two versions of the pet, or maybe because on the screenshots it's Alliance with NElf Moonkin and Horde with Tauren Moonkin

I like how there doing this. I will give credit to blizzard for not allowing people with money to gain an advantage over other players. I see to many games that do this. The end result is the best and strongest players are the ones with the most cash at hand. That would ruin the game and a very large number of players would stop playing the game.

We can't handle Deathwing and Alexstrasza!!

And they can make as many mini pets for real money they like! This is for chairty and just cas you can't hold it doesn't make it anything lesser! Like c'mon we fork out each month to pay the game why not make one payment for something we get to use forever?

I kinda hope it's faction based. I find myself not pulling out my gryphon hatchling on horde toons (except Aoani, who's an animal lover and saved him from the cruel alliance overlord ) and I'd love to just have it adjust to the faction of the given toon.

I'm not so keen on Lil' Ragnaros... Perhaps because I never banged my head against him the way I did KT and XT... I dunno, he just doesn't appeal to me. *shrug*

I've heard speculation that she'll be the 6th anniversary pet. Kinda makes sense, she's pretty central in both the current and upcoming expansions.

Not that I know of. She was in MMO Champs database still last I checked.

They made the Wind Rider Cub and the Gryphon Hatchling obtainable by both factions, so I'm sure they will do the same here.

Hmm I better go check up on her shes like my favourite dragon! I would farm so much or pay so much to have her T^T

So cute! I haven't even been in MC yet (yeah, I know, weird) and I want Lil'Ragnaros. He'd be perfect for my pet collector toon (she's a Fire Mage).

The Boomkins are adorable too, even if the Tauren one looks a little like Gizmo.
