YAY!

With two new playable races just on the horizon, many players have been asking when they'll be able to convert their existing characters into goblins or worgen. Paid faction and race changes will be available immediately once Cataclysm is released. Realm First achievements for leveling any class to 85 will be available in Cataclysm. However there will be no Realm First achievements associated with leveling characters of a specific race.

There will be a slight change to the way paid services work for goblins and worgen. Goblin and worgen characters wishing to change race or faction cannot be in Lost Isles or Gilneas; they must be elsewhere to initiate the process. There are no restrictions on race/faction change to goblin or worgen.

I'm so glad for people who wanted to race change right away. ^^

I originally had a few characters in mind to race change, but now I've just decided to keep them as they are or reroll from scratch to save money. :3

Seems like a waste though. I can't think of a better way to seen the re-worked zones and new quests than to just roll a new worgen from scratch and level it up. Still, I can't stand starting off broke so I will still be paying for a faction change and a server change to get some gold to my new toon. Server change is because I want to start off fresh on a low pop server. Ease the leveling crunch etc.

I'm still hoping that they allow the new race/class combos (sans Goblin/Worgen of course) before Cataclysm.

For the new class combinations with pre-existing races, yes, they had already been confirmed as coming before Cataclysm. Probably with 4.0.3.

Undead hunters, however... I mean, what can be more badass than a zombie with a gun!?

If people want to change their mains to one of the new races, though, it's a godsend. They don't have to give up everything they've earned.

Me too I have no wish (or money) to change one of my characters to worgen, but yay for those who want to change right away!

A zombie with a slime.

Hmm there is one or two characters that might make better worgen. Provided I find a female worgen form that I like...
And it fits in well for my RP wise (even though I dont actively RP, since I am not on an RP server, I still have a nice background story) My Nelf huntress is rather savage, hence the hyena as her life-long companion. With the revealing of the worgen curse, She see's a chance to unleash the beast that has stirred within. A chance to take the form of the savage beast she is inside. (in a nutshell)

Yeah, I've been trying to fit a story for Jetfyre. She's a night elf druid. Trying to get a good story to how she got the curse and why she reverts into a human state rather than an elven one.

Any ideas? :3

Also, that would be impossible. They need to go back to their 'normal form' sometimes so their feral side doesnt take over.
