Does anyone know if any stores (US) are offering anything special for Pre-ordering Catacylsm? Just curious and thank you

I saw a discussion of this recently where the consensus was that nobody is. I haven't heard anything to the contrary.

If you're interested, a Swedish webshop has compilations on WoW, like Vanilla + Expansions + 90 days prepaid. I THINK, last time I checked, at least, that they're doing a Cata styled gamermouse + Cata gamerkeyboard + Cata, but don't call me on that, was ages ago, they might've changed it.

Reasonable prices, too.

I work at EB Games, and while we're no longer taking preorders for the collector's edition (glad I got mine when I did), I'm pretty sure they'll still allow preorders on regular Cataclysm right up until the day before the release date, just like every other game in the store.

No deals on Cata that I know of, but in case someone has friends that are still sadly WoW-deprived, we're selling the original for about $25, with BC included for free.

hmm, i'm only in need of cata, i would be curious Saturo of that website, I like looking at new mice often. Mine currently has only 2 addt buttons to hotkey, been in the mood for possibly something with 4 or so

Amazon.com is offering 100 bonus points (equal to $10 off a future game purchase). Not the greatest deal but it's something.

I just went and did the digital thing on warcraft's website. I figure it will save me some gas money and tax with giving me a option to play right away with the millions of others, eh why not?

And a million game stores scream in a tiny tinny voice of rage and hate as Blizzard gives 14 million people a way to bypass them entirely and inject the cash right into Blizz's bank account.

I couldn't get the digital pre-order to work, so I just went ahead and pre-ordered the regular boxed edition elsewhere.

Here in the UK there are some (idiotic) games stores threatening to boycott steam-enabled games. Way to shoot themselves in the foot.

"Hey, guys, this STEAM thing is hurting our sales - people are saying it's more convenient for them and just as cheap."
"What shall we do, adjust our business model, offer discounts, some sort of loyalty scheme that's actually worth it?"
"No, our business is perfect, the problem's STEAM and the customers. Let's boycott STEAM-integrated games, there's no way that would be a bad plan."

I preordered the Cata special edition from Gamestop.
While it's sort of lame that I won't be able to play RIGHT AWAY, the whole experience of standing in line at midnight talking with other hopeless gamers is fun, not to mention the fact that I'm stoked for the special content.
