Guess who's tameable! And super easy to get to at 85! And he keeps a boss tag for those that like that sort of thing.

Ooooh...now that's interesting news! Especially for people who tamed The Beast for the tag specifically.

Very very happy for those who just wanted the tag.

I just wanted Magmadar, lol. I honestly never really went for the Beast but I've been eying him for a few patches, since the AQ bosses became tameable. Something about Molten Core and nostalgia I guess. But he hadn't been tameable until this patch.

And it's funny, but....I have no desire to get him for the Boss tag. ^^ I'm attached to my Beast, and he wouldn't be Beast if he was Magmadar. ^_^

Oh yes, I should have said YAY for those who specifically wanted this guy as well! I love how Blizzard is allowing vanilla players to tame their favorite (or least favorite) bosses from vanilla.

I wanted Beast to keep his boss tag....least for those of us who tamed him as such. /cry

Okay, I went in again on a second character, who is not as geared as the first, (also 85, but in questing blues/greens), just to see what the damage was like, because I really didn't pay attention the first time. I was just like zomgmagmadaryesyesyes.

Anyway, he did about 22k damage to my lower geared character, which would make this a tricky tame to pull off at 80. He will most likely fear at least once... both times he feared about 6-7 seconds into the tame, but there wasn't a fear after that. I skipped the core hound packs, so I made sure I was pressed as far away from them when I started, and that I moved back away from them after the fear. Part of it is luck that you don't get feared into them, but both times I didn't get close enough to worry about it. (You can skip the hounds and Luci by hugging up the right wall and watching Luci's pat - I always camo, I imagine it helps a little -- alternatively, you can kill everything). The hound packs still aren't tameable by the way, which I imagine will stay that way due to their self-rezzing ability... might cause some problems if one of them just up and disappears.

I'll probably be dropping my regular MC corehound for Mag once I hit 85. There's something thrilling to me about taming these bosses. I'm not doing it for the tag so much (although I think it's cool), just for the enjoyment of having the upper hand, as well as taming things that I wouldn't've even IMAGINED back when I was actually fighting them.

I was all set to go get him at 80, but.. now with that green one with red flames... too many choices...

..........this IS going to be fun with lil'ragnaros...it is Ragnaros' pet..i obey the master! heck i love my beast.....though i might tame this one if i can manage ton get my parents to let me but lil'ragnaros ^^
