Mania's namesake has had a colour change, before her release upon an unsuspecting world. Ainamiss the Hive Queen is now the pinkish-purple skin, which actually fits better with the hive she's in: The dark purple and orange skin she had was no longer special, as the Gorishi Fledgling Colossus also has that skin and is there all the time, so that could be another reason for the change.

UPDATE: Harakiss the Infestor is still blue. Just found him.

Does this mean that the other rare colossus had a color change or is it still its normal coloration?

(Harakiss is currently a Blue colossus, same as Princess Yauj)

She wasn't around to check, though I'd be surprised if she'd changed too.

AHHHHHH!!!! I hope Mania likes pink! This is a very fitting change for Ainamiss. Very cool!

i liked her more in purple but i also like the fact that Mania is more unique. since Mania is one of a kind

Well in my honest opinion, Blizzard HAD to make Mania pink. After all, for how long did she have Mazzranache as the site's mascot?

So true. And I honestly think at least one person from Blizzard is reading these forurms, because when Ainamiss first appeared in beta, her name was Ainamiss the Super Exotic, and people noticed the ainam / mania part. I then asked in the topic if it was Blizzard's way of telling us that Mania was our Hive Queen and that we where her silithid drones. Next beta patch after that her name is changed to Ainamiss the Hive Queen.

That is WAY too suspicious to be just a pure coincidence.
