So my buddy after watching walking with prehistoric beasts is obsessed with Terror Birds. He wants to tame one. Course closest thing is the tall strider. So what color do you think looks most like the prehistoric terror bird

The colours used in the series were just "best guess". Real world "tallstrider" style birds come in many different colours. probably the most colourful would be the
cassowary

Because it looks like:

Cassowaries have a reputation for being dangerous to people and domestic animals.
During World War II American and Australian troops stationed in New Guinea were warned to steer clear of them. Many internet entries about cassowaries state that they can disembowel a human or dog with one kick, with the long second toe claw cutting the gut open.
In his book "Living Birds of the World" from 1958, Ornithologist Thomas E. Gilliard wrote;
"The inner or second of the three toes is fitted with a long, straight, murderous nail which can sever an arm or eviscerate an abdomen with ease. There are many records of natives being killed by this bird."

Personally I always liked this one, but unfortunately this was a minority opinion, so yeah the tallstrider is the next closest fit...

Oh by the way, if your friend likes terror birds, tell him to check out 10,000 BC if he hasn't already (although that is the only part worth watching imo, so personally I would fast forward to that point in the movie, and then stop the DVD afterward, else you might shed bitter tears at the hour and fifteen minutes of your life that you won't get back...)
