So, been trying to tame King Krush for a year now on my server. Only seen him twice, both times dead. Last nite a guildy got Loque. I came to watch and decided to do my normal daily fly around for King Krush. Rounding to Nessingwary bells n whistles went off and there in front of me was Krush and no one was in Sholozar which is extremely rare for my server.

So - I touch down and wait for him ot pat away from the camp and I start my tame. He runs up and smacks me back and I start taming again. Next thin I know from the corner of my screen I see npc's running far out from the camp shooting at him ripping aggro from me. No amount of distracting shots could pull him back and the NPC's shot him dead at my feet. A year of searching every day faithfully lies dead at my feet.

I am utterly heartbroken.

I sent in a ticket asking why is this allowed to happen? If those NPC's did run far out of their way I would have the one pet I could ever want in the game in my stable. I asked if there's anyway to get a respawn w/o the npc's for a second chance. I was plenty far away from the camp but they still ran out and killed him mid-tame .

I was basically told they will not do anything out of "convenience" to me. I replied and was told to go post on the forum about it on how to make the game better .

Now I'm resolved to giving up cause I'm utterly "Krushed", especially with the way Blizz is handling this and how important they view Rare npc's in Cata with the debuff and the tear it drop as opposed to loot .

*sigh* So very very heartbroken...

I'm so sorry to hear of your Krush being taken away like that. It hurts when another player rips a rare away from you, but an NPC? That's just horrible. And I've seen it happen to Krush before, where the NPCs just run out and attack him.
At least you have a kill timer to go off of, I know it's of little condolance, but it's something. He'll be yours someday hun. *hugs*

At least it wasn't a player who came out of his way to kill your Krush for a paltry 20g.

I'm so sorry, that has to be heart breaking... Keep after him though, he'll show and away from the camp so you dont have to fight for him.

I've seen him dead twice now in the last week after 18 mo of not seeing him at all. I gave up =\

I have actually dreamt about finding Krush and having npc's kill him..

Just logged in and Krush spawned in front of me - Dropped down and prepared to tame and another horde hunter dropped in on top of me - shot and killed him in front of me again So upset.....

Like it was said above, at least you know the timer. Keep on checking. Also take heart that once Cata is here, a lot fewer people will be in Sholozar.

I know how you feel. The last shot I had at Krush, I had just begun taming when a Death Knight (same faction) flew down and proceeded to kill him before I could get the tame done (pre-4.0). He didn't even get credit for it.

oh been there all too well... 'comfort' you'll get em' & he'll love ya' for saving him from the poachers

*hugs* He'll spawn for you again, hopefully this time NOT NEAR THE GUARDS THAT WILL SHOOT HIM REPEATEDLY IN THE FACE. Silly dinosaur, thinking he's all invincible...

awww I feel your pain..I didn't have NPC's kill the pet I wanted to tame, but I did have another player just aggro it and take it away from me..at least she didn't kill it but was still heartbreaking considering I had been there waiting,long before she came along.

Anyways take comfort that he will spawn again and you will end up with Krush

People can be darn cruel. The RNG can be mean too. Been helping my mom farm ZG for over a year now for the tiger mount. She's a major tigger fan so she' wanted him since she first saw the mount. The RNG just hates her on that.

As for giving up don't give up. Maybe instead of actively hunting for awhile just log out at one of the spawn points?

It took me forever to get loque back in the day. When I got the extra stable slots I took to camping out at Skoll's spawn point. I got he eventually. And they are right come cataclysm most the griefers and the like will be off leveling or harassing people in the new zones.

Yeah seems people right now are just bored.
