I have been in a panic since I found & tamed Araga on my server just 3 days ago. I was not close enough to see her face clearly before the tame. However, once she became mine, I was horrified to notice that she is BLIND!!! She has NO EYES!!! I have taken her out of the stable to show several other hunters, all were mortified & had NEVER had this happen to them with any pet skin. I have other hunters who are going to camp/tame her so that we can make a comparison. Once another hunter obtains her, I will take pics of their kitty & return to post here.

Has anybody else ever had this issue? The reason I posted this here is because I follow the forums about the upcoming pet skin changes that may possibly occur in cata. I understand her skin is still missing on the PTR and there is much conjecture as to what may happen with her skin. (I have been reading petopia.com a very looong time & this very sad issue with my Araga spurred me to finally register & take part in the forums)

I am not sure what putting in a ticket for this issue, with cata right around the corner, will get accomplished at this time, the gm may just say "how weird, go tame another"...lol Any suggestions Mania?

Araga has dark eyes, so do you think it might just be the distance and angle you viewed her at?

It looks like maybe the resolution on her model is down - might be a setting? It looks more pixilated. That could be why...
Or, it could be a bug...

Here is a better pic. I have tamed this kitty before, she has beautiflu amber eyes..this kitty has no eyes, period. Sorry for the pic spam, I took one more for clarification. This is not about my settings or resolution. (tamed her on live)

She's not blind as my pet.
But she does seem blind as yours.
Maybe try dismissing and re-summoning?

I added a much better pic to my previous post (apologies for pic spam)She has been in & out of the stables, re-summoned & dismissed multiple times, didnt fix her. Thank you for your replies, just wanted to bring this to someones attention. I shall wait & see what changes cata may bring to this kitty skin.

Hmm, that is peculiar. I can only imagine it might be some wonky video or texture setting...but you said that other people also saw the same error?

i've been camping araga 2 days now. very exciting.

I just pulled 6 cats out of my stables in the pet shop, put em up on the counter for no less than 3 guildies, they were just shocked...yes, resolution was checked again. The other cat skins eyes are very obvious, they have eyes. This particular skin is broken, seriously. Its just sad & creepy..have been taming pets for years, never seen this...like other posters said, probably just a bug & will be fine after cata. Thank you for all your responses! Petopians are the most awesome peeps on da planet!!! <3

Amazing pics Nightsight! Your kitty has beautiful eyes! I am very relieved that your kitty has them! I checked my kitty again this morn, hers are still missing. She will remain in the stable, a soft dressing over her eyes, kept warm & safe until I can find a "specialist" to fix her! I had no intention of keeping her (another tame for possible post cata skin changes) but now she has captured my heart!

Heh, reminds me of this book a friend lent me recently.

I summoned my Araga from the stables this morning, and her eyes are gone too! I KNOW she had eyes before! WTH?

I made a ticket asking about it. Hopefully it will be fixed.

EDIT: ok now this is just infuriating. About 30 minute after I made my ticket, i got a "You have been chosen to fill out a survey"

No answer. No chat with a GM. No mail. NOTHING. No response. You better believe my feedback on the survey was the most negative of any survey I've ever filled out. You don't ask me if you did a good job when you never even acknowledged my ticket!!!

Did you check your mailbox? The mail doesn't show until you zone or relog.;

Usually when I get a GM response I get a little box where the ticket window was saying "You have received a response" or I get a mail icon on my minimap. This time I got nothing.

EDIT:

I finally got an email to the address linked to my WOW account, telling me to delete my cache, WTF, and interface folders. Did that. Still no eyes.

I found her in the wild today and she had no eyes there either. I took a screenshot while I was waiting for another hunter to come and tame her. I had to find a home for the last Araga of Area 52. The other hunter's wolf almost killed it too! Araga was down to 300HP when she got her wolf to passive, dismissed it, and the tame completed. We both almost had a heart attack! But all's well that ends well.
