so me and my brother get into these arguements over "Who would win in a fight?" normally they consist of Chuck Norris agains Bob Sagget, but today, with the New Harry Potter coming out it was the about some villains...

My foolish brother thinks that Voldimort can beat the ich King!

Now my family tends to agree with my brother on this one because nobody apart from me, my brother, and my cousin know who the Lich King is...
So I figured I'd ask you guys. What is your opinion. Given their ablilities and allies and powers, who would win in a fight on neutral territory? The Lich King or Voldimort?

The Lich King used Fury of Frostmourne! It's super-effective!

Screw the ice sword. One 'Avada Kedavra' and Bolvar will suddenly find himself Lich King without various players looking for lootz.

I have to sort of agree with Azu on this one..

The main thing for me? You can't technically KILL Voldemort..unless your jebusHarryPothead and come back from being killed.

Do love LK, but Voldemort wins out for me. Man can't Die.

I don't think that "avada Cadabra" would work on soemthing that's already dead, but thats just my guess. also an anti-magic shell/anti-magic zone would take care of that.

As for not being able to kill Voldimort, doesn't the LK's sword devour souls? so since he devoured Voldimort's soul, wouldn't he die then, even with the other Horcroxes out there?

Hmm, I suppose there's something to that. However, there's still the thought that he has those parts of soul out there to be considered. Can you kill someone that has many bits of soul floating around out there?

Maybe I'm just biased because I love Voldemort...who knows?

Well no, i guess you couldn't destroy every bit of soul out there... but wouldn't destroying the soul in his body make his body destoryed? idk, I have more knowledge about WoW stuff then Harry Potter stuff...

The death curse is pretty worthless against a death knight, since; 1. Already dead and 2. Antimagic shell. Meanwhile, Voldemort can easily be killed, it's the reincarnations that would be the trouble. I'm CERTAIN a huge, ever-growing army of undead could easily find stuff like that, especially with archmage-undead, AKA liches. In addition, if Voldmort is killed with Frostmourne, the horcrux would be destroyed, since that part of the soul would be ripped out of it, and into the sword. Voldemort would be dead within, what, five reincarnations? And Arthas wouldn't have any trouble killing the bastard either, since, as we all know, wanding is VERY weak. xD

I think this sums it up why old Voldy would lose...unless wands are uber powered these days.

So as a legitimate answer I'll say this:

I'm not really big on Harry Potter lore. I watched about ten minutes of the first movie and wasn't engaged by it so I never went back to the series. It's my understanding, though, that Voldemort's soul is in pieces and hidden inside physical items, somehow? I don't really understand the details, but it seems to me if there's no soul in his body that Frostmourne won't work against him.

That being said, the Lich King is fairly impervious to things like instant-kill spells and the like, seeing as he's undead. This fight would seemingly come down to physical prowess, and by the look of the two characters I can pretty much pinpoint which is a better physical fighter.

Okay. I had a long, hard talk with my dad about this. Seriously.

We came to the conclusion that Voldemort vs. Lich King would end in LK's favor, because his curses would be useless. Bellatrix vs. LK would end badly, but she'd put up a better fight, and it'd just end up being cooler.

HOWEVER, I will say Voldy vs. any living being, such as Varian or Garrosh, Voldy wins because all of his curses and all of his Death Eater's curses will be effective.

Lich King is immune to instant death. In fact...he's already dead so of course he'd win.
