I was in Loch Modan taming a fox, when i was runing through the Loch in the main part of it that still has water in it was a blue kracken, named Modan Monster. It barley fit in the water, and had the golden dragon around its name (pretty sure that means rare, or is that the silver?). I was on the PTR. (srry no screen shot , killed it before i thoughtof one).

edit: after swimming farther in it did get deeper so he would fit.

Hee, I loved finding him when I first went through Loch Modan. Very cool to see the kraken model at an early level.

I have some screenies from when I first stumbled into him. He's a non-rare elite that patrols the lake there.

yea, still swimming and found a second one.


edit: probally just respawned.

Gold dragon is elite, not rare. He is either a quest mob or just eye candy.

Either that or another hogger...

Those things freak me out, for real. There's no way I'd put so much as a toe in any water that had one of those swimming in it. x_x

I definitely got a bit of a chill up my spine when I saw the spikes cresting out of the water's surface, but I've always really loved the kraken model so my curiosity overcame my unease. Also the fact that I was like 70 levels higher than it and I knew my warpie would down it in a heartbeat if I got freaked out. If I was at zone-level though? Hell no wouldn't step foot in the water. x_x

I remember when I swam out off the Borean coast to slay some some dudes in the old ruins and I came around the corner of an iceberg and there was that mofo huge kraken sitting there in the trench.


Took off like a bat outta hell I did. Took me nearly 20mins before I realized it wasn't actually moving and wouldn't get me until I was doing the quest for it


Damn bastard thing. It was like welcome bear, on drugs.

Oh god, that Borean Tundra quest! Same thing Kayb....was diving down there for something and I saw that Kraken and flipped out.
