I must admit I fail to see the problem with going full screen and using the original UI, these seem to be common reasons for contempt. Would anyone care to fill me in on why?

I use full screen. Windowed is way too small.

I can't stand not playing in Full Screen. I like to be completely in the game, having my computer visible around it just annoys me.

I use Windowed fullscreen. Makes it lag less when I alt tab and do the 50 other things..
..this reminds me of my siamese, Misty, she is always watching my hands when i type my password. Luckily for me I also have an authenticator.
also reminds me of when for a joke I left my ex-boyfriend's paladin naked and hearthstone-less on a branch of the big teldrassil tree thing.

I'm a full screen user...I hate seeing my stuff in the background...the only time I go windowed is when I'm camping (so I can see the npcscan go off) while watching a movie or working in photoshop.
