Okay, here's the deal. As anyone can see in my stable (check the sig), my pets all carry a Final Fantasy naming theme.

My problem is, I'm finding it difficult to find appropriate names for what is left, plus some pending tames come 4.0.3a. Anyone up for helping, keeping within the naming theme?

Silithid (Green one, currently named Twitch)
Raptor (Black Blade's Edge model)
Mount Wolf (the Ramparts one)
Wasp (will be a Silithid model one, likely green too)
Dog (Blue Runed Magehunter one)

I've combed through a Final Fantasy Wiki site, and not found any creatures, etc that stand out, so, thought I'd ask the community.

Ah....hmm.....that could be hard. mount could be Golbez.

i know I had a few FF named creatures.

Purple Tiger - Kuja
Loque'nahak - Cecil
Ironhide Devilsaur - Golbez

I've been trying to stray away from character names, and more creature/summon names.
My two cats, Stiria and Nix, the Shiva Sisters (FFXIII)
My Dragonhawk is currently Ifrit, will re-tame to name him Phoenix, saving Ifrit for the Fire Turtle.
Turtle (will be replacing with the Ghamoo-ra model tomorrow) is Adamantoise.
My Devilsaur (Ironhide skin) is Bahamut.
etc. etc.

Off-topic: Discovered our pets gain the same experience % from herbalism/mining/archaeology, as they do from a kill. Had my Bahamut level off of an herb. And it's a nice gain! With Rested Status, I make 4200xp off of one yellow-or-higher herb (skill wise) in Northrend. Pet gets about 2600xp from it. Very fast leveling!

Oh boy! Final Fantasy names huh? Let's see what I can find for you ...
(I haven't played, nor am I an expert on all the FF games and its characters/mobs but I'll do my best)

Ramparts Wolf: Strife (Aka: Cloud, the lone wolf; ffvii)

Wasp: Yhoator (ffxi), Vespa (ffx-2), Nebiros (ffx)

It's been a looooong time since I played FF. And even then, it was only FF10. So...I just remember Tiamat, Sin, Yuna, Chocobo (:D)and...the aeon list provides:

I have to agree... which frees Anima up... hmmm...

And given that I snagged a "Silithid Swarmer" before patch, I got the brown ant Silithid now, I got a good idea for my Wasp + 2 Silithids:

Sandy, Cindy, and Mindy, the Magus Sisters.

Also, noting your stables, I ironically have a Dragonhawk named Phoenix. And in FF, I remember my Valefor was nicknamed Phoenix...and my Ifrit was Cerberus. I forget what I named the others.

Well, I am happily at the point of being down to 2 pets needing Final Fantasy-styled names (Avoiding actual main character names, they don't fit so well for beasts).

Raptor - Model can be debated, though it is a Black Spiked right now.
Dog - It's a Blue Runed Magehunter one.

The rest of my roster is done, and quite happy with em all. Gonna work on some screenshots + editing soon, for certain group ones (ie: Stiria and Nix, and my Magus Sisters).

So, feel free to check my stables in my sig, to see who isn't named. Adamantoise and Cindy don't show. Ancient Sea Turtle and Tan Ant Silithid models aren't liked over there.

Dog - Red XIII from FFVII. I would change the dog to http://www.wow-petopia.com/look/houndskinred.html or http://www.wow-petopia.com/look/magehunterred.html and keep the mage hunter model.

You can also name him Angelo (Riona's dog in FFVIII).

Red XIII is feline though (and really, a Lynx from Eversong is almost a direct match, minus the tattoos and flaming tail).

I sadly don't recall much about FFVIII... didn't like the gameplay mechanics at all, so I beat it once, pre-PS2 days and left it.

AH-HA!!!! I will grab the red magehound and name it Daigoro. Yojimbo's dog from FFX.
