So who else get the small joke, weather Blizz planned this or not.
Alliance gets Werewolves-Worgen -self explanatory
And
Horde gets Vampires-Bloodelves AKA prettyboys who have to consume the lifeforce (magic) of others

Erm....I've never viewed blood elves as vampires. The vampires of WoW are the Darkfallen which are on the faction of The Scourge. So yeah....horde doesn't get vampires because said 'vamps' are not playable as they are not Horde.

The worgen are similar to werewolves but not quite the same thing.

So no, Blizzard did nothing with Twilight. I'd much prefer to keep it that way, thank you.

EWWW no way. I was thinking more like Underworld. UGG Twilight does not have vampires in it anyway.

Oh good. I was scared you were making a twilight reference there for a minute. Underworld....hmm.....yeah I could see their type of vamps and werewolves being a little more similar to WoWs.

Twilight has neither werewolves or vampires. It has rabid, flea-infested dog-boys and sparkling fairies.

The vampire vs werewolf thing has been around long before Twilight attempted to copy it, so Redith didn't make me think of that XD Especially since, as it's been mentioned, there are no werewolves in Twilight, and the new-agey vampires aren't really vampires either. Although I don't think even Meyer knew where she was going with that until the end, since she kinda threw in that "oh lol btw, not werewolves" thing in like...the last chapter of the last book. /facepalm

I always did wonder where that whole werewolf vs vampire thing came from, though...in Dracula, the titular character actually has a pack of wolves guarding his castle if I remember correctly. Media today just seems to think the two supernatural races hate each other, but I'm wondering when that started?

The whole sexual innuendo that are vampires is completely lost on that twilight author. In my opinion the mortality of the immorality within the vampire condition makes them more appealing and tormented than an emo kid with body glitter and a emotionless girlfriend.

*The Twilight Drakes are sort of energy vampires. They're even descirbed as such in Night of the Dragon, if I remember correctly (and I probably don't)

I agree with Saturo. Lock them in a crater such as Un'Goro, have casters lined up around the edges and melee's at the exits and see who wins. Nuke winners. End.

I read a lot of *shifty look* urban fantasy and *shiftier look* paranormal romance. Let me tell you, vampires have it all over werewolves for the sexy. But there are a lot more traditional romances written about werewolves because they have that whole mate-for-life thing going. I have no idea why women are all over the commitment-that-you-can't-break fantasy - give me wealth, elegance and immortality any day.

But you do realise, Mania, that vampires are DEAD right? That'd be pretty much necrophilia. Not to mention you'd probably get your throat ripped out on night. Although, the same goes for a werewolf I suppose, but only on the full moon. And who's to say anything about wealth or elegance? I would doubt there'd be many wealthy, elegant vampires who'd date a human woman. Not for long anyway, if you know what I mean.

It was my understanding that actual vampire porn was about the actual biting, not the dating/whatever. :D
