Not rare. I saw several crawling around southern Tanaris on the PTR.

Yeah, there's a bunch of them in Tanaris, just a common mob. ^^ I'll be grabbing one myself for a while until I find the Madexx colour I want in the future. A metal scorpion is too badass to pass up. \m/
