Tan ant slithid tame

So under the Transformed in the Shattering page on petopia my slithid swarmer is having a familiy and look change to the Tan ant slithid 
Does this mean
1: I keep my pet but it changes into a unique slithid skin
2: It stays as it is
3: I lose my pet or the ability to callit form stables
If this has been discussed before sorry but I thought time was short if people on european serverers want a chance at a possibly great last chance at an unusuall skin!
