LOOKING FOR SPECIFIC THREADS ON THE FORUM?
- Find the pet look you're interested in on one of the Petopia pages listed above (since one of them is probably the page you're looking for). This will give you the pet's general zone location and level.
- Go to the search page.
- Enter the pet's name into the top box and hit enter.
- Browse the thread subjects and excerpts. Generally, the title of the thread gives some indication of the pets discussed in it. You can skip obvious mismatches, like Terrorpene being mentioned in Karoma's thread. (Grats to me on flagging THIS thread for both of them...sigh.)
- If you're not looking for a pet with a unique name, it's possible that the pet's proper name was never mentioned in the discovery post. You might then want to return to the search window and look for key words that describe your desired pet, like "green orange ravager" or "ravager winterspring."
- It might take some trial and error, but generally speaking, educated guesses will find you the information you need.

Mania has done a wonderful job of organizing Petopia to be as user-friendly and navigational as possible. A lot of the info is archived in the Cataclysm sub-forum here as well. Hopefully if people see this it might cut back on some of the repeat question topics that keep popping up.

Hopefully this quick reference thread will cut down on some of the site lagging extra traffic.

i found something about the pet ghostly blue carrion bird the thottbot location is no longer valid and two of the wowhead ones are invalid aswell but the one over by veil lashh i was able to obtain the pet there you have to weaken the guards then they run over summon it u kill them tame the pet the pet dies once then after your rez it you fine and you have a cool new pet.

i just tamed this bug haven't seen him on page but if its already listed as tameable disregard me it's from a quest in 1k needles though you don;t have to be on the quest he just spawns in the cave all the time. it has visible brain which sort of shifts and moves and has a buzzing flies over it and glows:D i think it's pretty cool.

There is an error on Dragonflayer Hunting Hounds. I tamed one today then had it kill off its partner. Looks like the image thats posted (mastif looking) Petopia has it marked as untamable

question about current transformed pets... here's the quote.... If you had one of these pets tamed when it changes, your tamed pet WILL change also.

I have Shy-Rotam , the Aqua Saber Cat and got worried when I read this and went to the nearest stables and pulled her out. She still has the old look. I was wondering if it was meant that if you had this pet out when it changed that the pet would change. I want to be sure about this. It would break my heart if all the work to get this baby back when I was 60 would be for naught if she changed looks on me

Only Rak'shiri was changing to the white model. Shy'Rotam remained the blue.

The information on Shy-Rotam is incorrect. He still spawns - but he's for a different quest now, so rather than someone having to explicitly spawn him, he's nearly always up, unless he's been killed / tamed within the last 30 seconds.

Have you notice that Petopia is saying that the Disembodied Jormungars are tamable but there aren't:(

I think that's what Ty was saying; his original observation was in error.

Dreadtusk (transformed during quest) is tameable (I just tamed it yesterday).

I saw black dogs in Stonetalon.
