With the help of my awesome guildies in Addiction, we managed to tame chromaggus last night and in honor of said guildies, I have named him Addiction. So yay me, he looks so friggin sweet.

Gratz! I'm in a guild by myself, so it looks like it will be a while before anyone is bored enough to pug through BWL. Can't wait to tame him though. Was there any difficulty taming him?

Are there any tricks involved in this tame? I just tried taming him an hour ago with no luck. My tame pet would start and abruptly stop almost immediately. And no, I didn't have bronze affliction since I took care of that first. I was worried that either this was something only available after cata hits, or it was somehow hotfixed out of game. Any help would be appreciated.

Please... no one name him Chromaggus =( I've seen 2 tamed on Area 52, BOTH named after the mob itself.

What is bronze affliction and what does it do? I have never been that far into BWL and some guildies said they would get me to him, but if that is a curse or something I would like to know before we run there and I can't do squat because of it.

And also, Cozzene... I am on Area 52 and don't worry I will not name mine Chromaggus. I already have a name picked out, and I assure you... it isn't that one... it's a far more sinister one. (no sarcasm from me this time... I am truth telling!)

I named mine Bromaggus, he is the King of all Core Hounds.

Is there no way to solo to get to this guy then?

Pent, bronze affliction (http://www.wowhead.com/spell=95352) stuns you every several seconds, so it can interrupt your tame. It's one of the random debuffs: http://www.wowhead.com/npc=14020.

If you get it, don't worry: it's easily cleansed by Hourglass Sand (http://www.wowhead.com/item=19183) which is dropped by instance trash. Just use it and you're good for taming!

I'm going to name mine Azzinoth My corehounds tend to go with this theme: my green one is Zenrokh (slightly altered name of the green-colored "Destroyer of worlds" sword that drops from Hakkar. I found it most appropriate!)

Well i am about to get mine i had a glitch happen its everytime i go in it says he is dead but yet in my raid lockout it is still alive because i never killed him why would i kill Him?! lol getting him tonight tho
