Can the Seagulls be tamed yet or do we have to wait for Cata? I tried going over to 1000 Needles but all the ones I saw looked out of reach.

Yes. Tamed one last night. Yes, they look out of reach, but they path close enough in some spots.

They are quite small for a Combat Pet, all the better for Epic PvP lols.

It took over an hour to find one, but yes, there are a couple in reach.

Look for the island covered in turtles, near the circle of dead turtles in 1k needles. Gulls swoop down close enough to tame there.

I got one while swimming to the big Goblin ship, tamed it while treading water. I named it 'Mine', as a reference to a certain movie

There are also a few spots around the goblin ship where there are some corpses of turtles floating at the surface (:( lol), and naturally they're being mobbed by seagulls close to the water.

Did mine on the 'turtle island' as well. It took a while but one finally circled low enough. They don't hurt a bit, so no need to worry they might cause actual injury. I'm considering doing the same as Neenee, except I'm using a different language.

Let's see. In French they say 'Amoi', in Spanish they say 'Mio', in German they say 'Dai'...

I got mine swimming below the ship by the surface. Just look straight up and lure one down with an auto shot.

Can also do it right near the first Horde camp in the area, over by Feralas, iirc--scoot across the Grimtotem bridge and you can pull one down. You can also do it at the bottom of the ramp (near the water) below RFD, on the little ledge poking toward Tanaris.

I use Concussive Shot / Cancel Autoshot and hit tame, or just hit tame beast if they're close enough

I got mine fairly close to the land area in feralas... i cannot stress enough how awesomly cute these things are... i ADORE mine
