Wanted : Snort the Heckler

Hi all,
My friend (lvl 18 human hunter) is looking for a purple hyena to tame. But since the Barrens have been completely transformed, we can't find Snort !
Any help to locate this hyena ?

He's out there...I think they just relocated him a little bit. Didn't someone find him on beta trapped down in one of the trenches?

Mhmm. Every time I saw him in beta, he was somewhere in the trench between north and south. Check towards the very west end, almost into Stonetalon.
Of course, they may have moved him since I'm sure there were more than a couple bug reports about it. But that's where I always saw him.

I can confirm this on live, too; found him wandering right near that Alliance camp, iirc, down in the trench.
Unless I'm utterly dreaming and confusing live with PTR, but I'm pretty sure it was live.

I found him in the Northern Barrens not too long ago. He is out there.

I hope you guys find your Snort, keep us posted.
I picked up Snort a long time ago, and he has been with me ever since. He certainly has personality. ;] I highly recommend him.

I'm happy to report that I tamed Snort this morning at 7:15a Mok'Nathal Server Time (MST; 5:15a Pacific/8:15a Eastern). Coords were 30.1, 44.6 in the Northern Barrens, Kalimdor. http://bit.ly/gDN62q
SilverDragon and NPC_Scan don't have them in their databases but there was a sound from one of them when I targeted him with my own macro.
Now, on to Humar!
