Gilnean Hound/Mastiff - Can be Tamed Red/Black

Right, so as many of you know the Gilnean Hounds can be tamed, as well as Gilneas being open...well...at least it was for a friend and I when we went there and tamed our two Gilnean Hounds.
However when I looked them up on the site it said that they were a gray and red combo. I'm not exactly sure who to post this to, or where, but I found it interesting that the two we tamed are actually red and black color changing Mastiffs rather than the listed red and gray. Not sure if we've stumbled into something new, or if the site just has it wrong. But I thought I'd pass on the info and screen shots.
Edited for grammar and spelling errors

Red is tamable in Scarlet Monastery
Black in tamable in Dragonblight
And theres also some in EPL, but I can't be sure which color they are.

I've checked for all four skins on this pet over the last three days and the red and black skins are the only one this mob carries. Trust me I must have summoned Jack about three hundred times since taming him. It's no fluke.

That's a shame if they took the grey Mastiff out of the game.

I don't think they took it out, just not a part of this model. Iono. Doesn't seem like any one knows what I'm taking about. >.< was hoping others might have noticed this change as well.

Interesting news! I do hope that the Grey Mastiff becomes tameable elsewhere. It's the one Mastiff variety I really like.

Hum, that's odd. I was down there the other night and snagged one just to test it out. All the ones I saw were either red or gray and should have held both colors after the tame. I tamed a gray one and it still had gray, which skin did you tame? Maybe what skin the mob is using has an effect on the colors available.

I tamed one in Gilneas I thought was Red, summoned it and it was black. Later , maybe summoning it 50 times, it came out Red. I'd say it comes out red maybe 10% of the time.

My color changer from Gilneas was gray and red. And may I say I love the houses out there and want one in game for myself :}

I also tamed one of those and from what I've seen it comes in two colours. One is red, the other is a dark grey that may or may not appear black depending on lighting. I've taken a few pictures to illustrate this.
First in the wild, selected and not selected:
This is the same Gilnean Hound in the same area. I used selected/not selected to illustrate the effects of different lighting without the risk of accidentally taking pictures of two different skins (since there are skins in game that are very subtelly different and the lighting in Gilneas is really bad).
Now two pictures of the tamed pet in Stormwind. Same area, same time of day, but in the second picture the light comes from behind the Mastiff, making it look black(er).
The Mastiff kind of looks like it has a different colour in each picture. Since this skin is so dependent on lighting I guess even something like your settings can make a difference in what you see, as well as what areas you're in, which is probably what's causing the confusion. But I think that this dark grey skin is indeed the black skin because the pictures of the officially grey skin I've seen look much brighter.
And after running around the Ruins of Gilneas for some time and countless resummons I'm pretty sure that it only comes in black and red (and it greatly prefers black as it's hardly ever red - in the wild or as a pet).
And just for completion two pics of the red skin:
I hope this helps.
