I am totally smitten with my new corehound, omgosh!!! From the moment I learned he was tameable here at petopia, I knew I had to have him. Oh why did I watch the ptr taming vids! I carefully planned & plotted, you will be mine my precious I vowed! My friends helped me clear BWL up to him in flawless fashion. The memorable & funny part was wiping on silly stuff & everybody running all the way back just to get another look at my future pet! Vent was priceless as well! We all just stood there & stared at him as he threw his heads back as if to howl, the mischevious glint in his yellow eyes made my heart hammer in my chest! Gosh, will ya just look at him! He is just magnificent! A sad knot formed in my throat, hot tears spilled down my cheeks as everybody began to hearth, I didnt want to leave him behind, but he was not ready for me to take him home just yet.
The patch can't go live soon enuf, I wait & wait, the server downtime keeps getting extended! In anticipation, a few days before, I bought the best food for him & cleaned/decked out his stable slot in fine form & comfort befitting a king..all is ready! The servers come up, oh my gosh! Me & hubby finally get logged on, massive changes greet us, as well as our druid friend Forr, we meet & form a raid, I deploy my remote & shove the boyz in, let's go, go, GO!!! Hubby has instant lock-up issues, he can't get past the loadin screen! He urges me & Forr to go get my pet, gratitude fills me as we run full-bore to get to Chromaggus. At long last, there he is, behind a massive grate, just a few feet away from me! I tell Forr I need a moment, my hands are shaking terribly, I can't pull the lever to release him just yet. After a few deep breathes I tell Forr I'm as ready as I'm ever gonna be, he steps back a respectful distance. Hubby turns in his chair to watch my screen as I pull the lever & hit my tame, the longest 10 seconds of my life tic down...in a sweet flash of light, he lost his boss tag & became MINE!!!
Even recalling this story makes me get all choked up still! I have never had a pet or tame affect me so much as this one. Like all hunters, I was & still am very excited about all the new pet skins available to us. I was not a particular fan of corehounds in the first place, so I was extremely shocked when this one tagged & bagged my heart! I have tamed a bunch of pets since the patch, even kept a few of them, but they all pale in comparison standing beside Drachenstein. I am on a low-pop server & so far, mine is the only one to be seen on the horde side. He gets tons of attention & I tell everybody how & where to get him, he is an easy tame. The pet emote addon pushed his personality over-the-top, I just can't say enuf about this big guy & how much I love him.

We try. Mania and all of us strive to help out fellow hunters. Im sure when Cata hits most people will be leveling their char. Us? We will be hitting the zones trying to find out any info on the new beasts so we pass that info onto you players.
