Getting A Sunflower: Guide by Azu
Quite a few people experienced issues with this mini-game, so I thought I would whip up a guide to help you. This comes from my knowledge, guildies' knowledge, and wonderful Wowhead.
Enjoy and good luck!

Plants Versus Zombies Guide:
(Or, rather, Peacebloom versus Ghouls.)
Finding the Place: Brazie’s farm is located in Hillsbrad Foothills, north of Sludgeguard Tower and a little southeast of the Dalaran Crater. It’s rather easy to find and even shows up on your map.
The Plants:
Sunflower: This little guy here does, as the song says, “power the entire infantry”. It will spout out solar power which in turns allows you to place your various troops. Without sunflowers, you’re in a lot of trouble.
Spitters: Your basic fighting unit. Spit out bolts of green acid at the ghouls. Nothing too special about this one.
Freezeyas: This is a lot more exciting version of the Spitter. Instead of firing bolts of plain acid, it fires icy bolts that freezes and slows your opponent. This is great if you’re still setting up and need extra time.
Rocknuts: This brave nut stands in the front lines and gets chewed on in order to protect your precious plants. Essentially, zombies have to crack this nut in order to move onto your troops. Great for setting up.
Strangler Vines: These guys pick up the zombies and keep them occupied and immobile for a little bit, while doing damage, then throw them back down. Main issue is they aren't exactly energy efficient. Don't place them immediately.
Pumpkin Bomb: These explosive vegetables (fruit?) are amazing. They will obliterate anything surrounding it by one square. So if you place it in the middle of a huge cluster of zombies, you can wipe out quite a few in a single go.
The Quests:
Basic Botany: The very first quest. Extremely easy, really. Right-click to gather the sun power. Fill a single row with solar flowers. Then, Spitters the zombies away! Better yet, they only walk down the Center Row, making your life a lot easier.
Flower Power: Same as Basic Botany. Very easy, just place down your sunflowers in the first row and then spitters away! By now, you should’ve picked up Strangler Vines and Freezeyas.
Ghouls Hate My Grains: Still rather easy, however you could pick up the practice of two rows of sunflowers, or you won’t have enough solar energy. By now, you should also have everything but the Pumpkin Bomb. This is a rather easy level as well. It is important to keep in mind though that you should avoid filling the row where zombies spawn or it can bug out.
Someone Setup The Pumpkin Bomb: Arguably, this one is the hardest level you will deal with. The strategy is easy though. You have two rows of sunflowers, followed by a row of Freezeyas, Spitters, and Strangler Vines. From there, you have Rock-Nuts to protect everything. Once you are set up, (Which is the hardest part.) you can pumpkin bomb everything to oblivion. Once you get abominations, it means you’ve pretty much won, because the lawnmowers can blow them down, should your plant infantry fail.
It could look like this:
SF SF S FY RN Z
SF SF S FY RN Z
SF SF S FY RN Z
SF SF S FY RN Z
SF SF S FY RN Z
SF = Sunflower
S = Spitter
FY = Freezeya
RN= Rocknut
Z = Zombie
Lawn of the Dead: Easy level, easy finish. Set up your sunflowers, then your freezeyas and spitters, then rocknuts, then focus fire the Warden. Pumpkin Bomb him whenever you can. He will occasionally spit some acid that can kill your plants, so don’t forget to replace them if needed.
General Tips:
-The key to this game is solar power. If you have two rows for the latter levels, it will be a piece of cake. I frequently was at full because of this.
-Essentially, the only issue is the beginning. Place three or four sunflowers. By now, zombies should be coming. Place rocknuts to tide them over, then keep placing sunflowers. By then, more zombies should be coming. Begin placing offense.
Enjoy your little singing sunflower!

Re: Getting A Sunflower: Guide by Azu
I just want to point out that one of my fails was because I got *too* focused on setting up sunflowers right off the bat and they all got eaten. The trick is to strike a balance between plopping down sunflowers and the various other plants. My final setup for the final two levels was:
SF SF FY SP SP
SF SF FY SP SP
SF SF FY SP SP
SF SF FY SP SP
SF SF FY SP SP
With pumpkin bombs at regular intervals when it was slow and vines every time he put down towers. After having hellishly long sessions that failed, I was surprised how fast the successful attempt went.

Yeah, that really is the main issue. Balancing between placing your SF and your troops. I had a few times during the second to last level where I was all, "Oh noes! They're coming! Protect me sunflowers! Oh wait..."

Re: Getting A Sunflower: Guide by Azu
I found that I wasnt beating the last round because I was resource deficient. Therefore I planted 2 rows of sunflowers, 2-4 rows of spitters, the occasional rocknut and had the resources available to pumpkin nuke the boss into submission.
The trick is to not worry about the zombies once the boss shows, let your plants deal with them (make sure to replace the spitters asap. don't worry you'll have the solar power coming out of your arse with 2 rows of sunflowers) and simply deal with the boss.

Great guide! Finally stopped failing at these quests (and got my sunflower) thanks to this!

Heh, I had 2 rows of Sunflowers, a few spitters, and was able to spam Stranglers and Pumpkin Bombs. Those vines were stupid OP. ...I really wouldn't recommend that strategy unless you are experienced with this and have an abundance of solar power >_>
