I have two hordes and two alliances (level 31 Night Elf hunter and level 8 gnome warlock, horde: level 18 blood elf paladin level 14 tauren druid) I got bored of all of these and I'm going to roll a horde shaman so I'm wondering what is the best race for shaman.

Don't count tauren just orc and troll.

As far as 'best' goes, I don't think there's really much difference other than your own preference. I personally like male Troll shamans because they have awesome casting animations.

Just go with whatever race you like. Don't force yourself to play something you don't want to, all races are viable with whatever classes they have available to them.

Both make excellent Shaman.
If you're looking at racials, the Orc has a Spellpower buff and the Troll has a Haste buff. In a min-maxing environment, the Troll racial is slightly better unless you're going with an Enhancement Shaman in which case Orc may be better.

As for looks, both look good in Shaman gear, Trolls perhaps a bit more so (Trolls look far better in the T10 than Orcs).

But both are solid.

But the real question is.. Which race has the cooler looking totems?

Thanks for the replies I think I'm going to go with orc. Orcs are cooler in my opinion I like troll but they just don't look so cool. But if there is anything you would like to add go ahead I will keep checking for replies. I might go with troll depending on the opinions I get from you guys.
