Tested ten times.
All ten times; Child became friendly, and despawned a second later.

A good thought, but a far stretch

The point was to tame Moonstalker matriarch AND his companion Runt.
That is it. And everything looks like you got succeed rare-buff-debuff-looking pet.
It does appear in stable but you can not call it out.
So at the relog screen you can see your hunter WITH this pet (tho pet is a REAL small).
The only problem is after you r login you have NO NEW PETS in your stable...

yeah yeah I know they may be (or they are) two separate models/npc's.
But who knows what kind of bugs right now on servers...:O)))

Point is they r BOTH GONE after /script PetAbandon()
Both, and both shows up as your pets - but just for a split of second.
And then you can see this guy on your load screen - but there is no new pets in your stable...
So it MAY work.
Hard for server to get a point that hunter MAY have to pets :O)))

This thread is very confusing....

after doing this multiple times, I can confirm that using the abandon script will not allow you to keep the runt. You can get the matriarch, but she does not keep a runt by her, so there is no point really.

Please restate what the original topic was - we're having a very hard time following

In darkshore there is a cat with a smaller cat. If you pull one the other comes running so they are tied. Attempts were made to tame one so the other stays as well... to no avail though

What Bubu meant is the ability to "Griff-tame" pets with special effects that are normally lost when tamed.

The /script PetAbandon() is a macro used to Griff-tame such beasts. When spammed as the tame is ending (1-2 seconds left) the beast being tamed will disappear. Relogging will show the beast as your character's pet on the log-in screen if you were successful.

In this case it was tested to see if the mob "Moonstalker Matriarch" would keep her Runt companion via Griff-taming.
