Yeah, I agree with you Aleu. It's a horrible excuse for a holiday. Just all corporate BS.

My boyfriend and I refuse to celebrate it. Plus I hate all the pink everywhere. Eurgh...

Although I too hate the commercial side of it, I have to admit I really enjoy it in all the online games I play. ^^ On Dragon Cave there's a special dragon released for every holiday and they will then retire right after, and in WoW there are these fun celebrations. I'll probably spend my Valentine's refreshing Dragon Cave's front page and trying to get the Lunar Festival meta.

Okay, anyway, I used to be a big fan when I was a kid because there were always parties in school, lots of rice krispie treats and the like, and no homework, and very little actual school stuff, and handing out little cardboard cards, and spending the night before figuring out who would get each one, and who to save the best one for.

I swear I'm not a girl! I just enjoyed my childhood darn it!

Besides, despite the blatant corporate moneygrab aspect, any reason for me to get candy is a good one. And now I want candy...

Happy Valentine's Day for those that celebrate it! And for those that don't... we have the rest of the year.

VD was probably one of the best days of the year in elementary. CANDY and SHINY CARDS and MORE CANDY and SUGAR!!!
Eh, not so much anymore. VD mostly consists of sitting in class going while roses and such are delivered to all those bleach-blond, just-pushing-the-dress-code gals. Of course, none of that would've compared to those little valentines and hershey kisses my sisters shower upon me.

I tried Dragon Cave... All my dragons died. :< No matter how much I tried to get them clicked.

I rather like Valentine's Day. I'm single (and have never had a boyfriend), but I love hanging out with my family, and who can argue with tasty chocolate and pretty flowers, even if I have to buy them for myself? My plan for this evening is a nice family dinner and then watching some horror movies. <3

I should go out later and grab some of those white-and-milk chocolate Hershey's Kisses... Those are good.

Aww *hugs* Belated happy Valentine's Day, Kairii. I don't celebrate it simply because I'm from Denmark, and it's only started to make its way into Danish awareness after I emigrated - but I can definitely appreciate the holiday from the non-money-grubbing-corporate-scoundrels perspective. Also, my 1 1/2 year-old son might have just converted me this year... his handmade card made me melt.

I love the drawing, you have a very cute style and clean lines. Very cute.
