Who dropped their flyers?

Now that allmost all the "Flying" pets no longer fly and are so low it looks like they are dragging thier tallons in the dirt, how many of you have retired them to your stables or released them back into the wild?

I tamed my undead eagle because I liked him. The flying was just a fun perk to play around with for a bit, but that sort of thing would never have an effect on my feelings for the pet or I wouldn't have tamed it in the first place.

I still like the undead hawk... grew quite close to him...
*flapflapflap*
Eh? No I don't need another dead mouse... *sigh* fine... ok thanks...

@Ryno: Maybe he wants you to have the mouse reanimated so that he can eat it.
On-topic: Probably would have released my bald eagle by now, if I hadn't found the Albino Eyegouger. I'm now torn between keeping Aurum, or swapping him out with an oiled hawk named 'Guide' or 'GuideMkII'. Decision, decisions...

I did; I loved the bird when they could fly. Mean actually fly- like carrion birds, owls and others. But then well go to check it out on Harp since I had ditched it on Lime- hadn't fit her but decided my dwarf might like it...
Hoverbutt, away!
*sigh*
It's a beautiful skin, but I can't stand hoverbutt. I can stand almost anything else, even Devilsaur's now squeaky roar, but not Hoverbutt :(
edit: I'm talking about the golden eagle btw- the gold bald eagle.

love my undead bird and will still hang onto him but i don't think he will get much use anymore. Since the change from flight to ground squatting he seems to bug out constantly while moving or being sent somewhere and regularly passes through terrain.

I was very sad that Dai lost his ability to fly. I didn't abandon him, though; Dai grew on me too well even without the flying. I will admit he was less cool (Sorry, lovely Dai, but it's true!) but I still wouldn't trade him for the world!
I admit: I'd been considering getting one of the flying bats, but totally changed my mind when the flying was removed. So that's sort of a preemptive abandon!

I still have both my rare parrots, but will probably let the albino go to make some room--especially since they don't fly now. Already releaseed both the oil-stained hawk and and wolf. I don't like that worg model (to me they look a bit too mouthy-breathy?). Not sure about the blue, ghosty two-headed vulture--he may go as well. I released my seagull soon after taming--something about the feet animation in flight makes me cringe? I may end up with no birds if this keeps up!
Off to organize my stable a bit before tonight's release. I may start a thread of those pets you will NEVER release :}

I wouldn't have tamed a parrot if it weren't for flight, so I went back to my brown eagle, which also does tricks, which my parrot couldn't be bothered to do.

I have 8 hunters (at last counting!), so stable space isn't a concern... I just spread tames around as evenly as possible. As for flyers, I don't have many (sporebat, aotona and a crow) and I haven't been following the recently "flying" development very closely - are flyers notably different than they were say 3 months ago?

Wait, birds hover on the ground now? Sorry, I have been away for a while. Could I get a screenie of the atrocity?

I kept the eagle, and will keep him. I dropped the gull, and dropped a parrot. Only got room for one parrot with clipped wings.

Not all birds- just specifically
Druid Flight Model Based birds. For some reason Blizzard made them hoverbutt fly to 'run' with hunters and fly
normally when walking/swimming.

Ew, that's terrible. Good thing the only birds I am interested in are the carrion models.

I love my seagull and the undead hawk. I have absolutely have no reason to abandon it. The flying was just a bonus for me.

Wait, getting mixed messages on this... Do bats do the same thing? D': I'll cry myself to sleep if my poor Melo can't fly anymore. :[
Also, any ideas if this is just a glitch or something permanent Blizz did to torment Hunters? :/ (Another thing: Any screenshots?)

There was a bat that had the ability to fly. I don't think the 'animation change' portion came into it, though. Just the 'no longer paths through the air' portion. Same with the flying silithid.

Ho ho, and I just corpse hopped through Howling Fjord on my lvl 11 to grab a stormcrow (logged off right after so didn't really spend time checking out its hover level).
Guess she's going to be spending some time on hiatus till that gets fixed...

@Redith: Whenever I see the title, I see the misspelled 'droped', and my brain automatically fills in the blanks.
Half the time it says 'dropped'... and half the time it says 'groped'
Please fix this!
