Out of curiosity, what were you using for fire resist? I haven't had a fire resist set since...yeesh..BWL days?

I'm thinking possibly an Elixer of resistance, I think they can go as high as 80? maybe 100? Not sure- plus I think Druids mark/gift of the wild still gives resist, so that could be another 50-70ish..

Then of course there's Paladin's Resist aura- that stacks too I think.

I'm gonna have to go with my former statement until he links/says what he used, Cialbi- as most of the gear you listed is lv 70 and lower.. so while it may give resist it's gonna take away from hp too :p

My idea wasn't so much on filling every singe slot with fire resist gear as it was just filling a few slots with high fire resist gear. This necklace, for example, seems like it suits this tame perfectly (the on-use effect has 10 charges, which should be more than enough).

Hm. Still, I wouldn't really advise it; sure it would help but, the fact is if you sub out to much gear for resist and you don't have enough resist to well resist 7k outta 10k damage, you're gonna be squashed. I'm thinking Pot + Core hound haste; fast enough tame for just normal resist pot to work. Atleast in theory. Mean I managed to tame a Sunwell Dragonhawk on Yasindra with that and they had to have been hitting her as hard as Terrorpene's fire damage would.
