I've been planning which pets to get for my hunter, and for his spirit beast, I decided that Skoll fit him the best. I hit 80 last night, and after a quick Skoll check (while noticing other hunters in the area probably doing the same thing) I logged and went to bed.

This morning I found myself wide awake at 7, when my husband gets ready for work (unusual for me - I am not a morning person). I decided, what the heck, I'll go check for Skoll since it's only 5 am server time. I logged in to find worgen running around Stormwind, and Northrend pretty much deserted. I took a roundabout path through Sholazar, checking for Loque'nahak out of curiousity. I did spot King Krush, and was very tempted, but decided that he didn't really fit my hunter's theme and left him to hopefully be tamed by someone else.

I'm glad I did. Because shortly after arriving in Storm Peaks, I found Skoll wandering about in one of his spawn points. Quick ice trap and some pink hearts and he was mine. I have never even seen one of the spirit beasts in the wild before, let alone tame one, and I don't even use a rare spawn finder add on. I'm just really lucky to have picked the morning after an xpac dropped, I think!

Here he is. I've named him Stoli, to go with my alcoholic beverage theme.

rofl thats how i found arcturis, i just looked for the hell of it and he was there. Sometimes you get lucky

Congrats on Skoll, and a belated congrats on hitting 80!

Grats! I was doing something similar today. While everybody was busy with Cata I went looking for rare mobs. I logged in and the first thing I see is Gondria sitting in a corner. After I pick her up I head over to Sholozar to look for Loque'Nahak and ended up find Aotona instead.

Ditto. Logged in, flitted around Sholazar, and there was Loque, just hangin. Popped down, nabbed him. Everyone's out of Northrend now, making the Spirit Beasts a LOT easier to get.

Yep I'll be doing the same with my hunt... got a bit before I get Cata. myself, regardless grats on your new pets.

Lucky- I've not seen Aotona since Rosalyn nabbed her >_>

Well atleast the theorycrafting of easier to obtain rares was right for the moment.
