I am still only 81 at the time, but figured i'd go look and see if he was up. And he was.
Sneaky tiny bastard.

I tried to find another hunter to come and tame since I couldn't myself, and after a good 14 minutes I did find someone, but after 15 mins or so I couldn't find him anywhere. I am fully aware that he is phasing and have been following since, but no sightings now.

I just wondered if anyone have been able to gather any information about how long it takes for him to despawn?

Also, screenshots ;)

Woop, woop Edit:

She found him. He was just playing hide and seek ^^ Meaning he was up for atleast a good 35 minutes ^^

Ok, grats first but what is his ID for NPC scan, where did you find him?

I seriously doubt he despawns, and if he does his respawn time must be REALLY fast.

I was in Vashj'ir for a good portion of time yesterday and every time I went to check on Ghostcrawler he was up and walking around. He does phase out (or stealths) a lot, but I went to his spot around 4-6 times over an 8 hour period and I always found him.... sometimes it was hard to actually "find" him because the way he stealths, and 2-3 times I thought someone had tamed him, but after a few minutes of scanning the sea floor he would pop up.

What are his coordinates again? I might go see if he's up tonight before I head to Uldum.

I have no idea what his ID is, but he is the only mob in that area I believe and will appear as a yellow dot on your map.

Anyway, this was the map I used to find out where he was.

Seeing as I actually forgot the area he phases in was a lot larger than I could remember, chances are I just looked in parts of the area. :)

So it sounds like he does not despawn, unless killed or tamed. Or something. Killing him will take some players xD
I kinda got curious and have to go back later today and see if he's up again. A little more than 4 hours since the hunter tamed him I think.

Thank you everyone who posted above. Knowing that the little guy stealths about gave me the motivation to keep searching even though nothing was coming up, and now I have him. He was immune to my trap and nearly killed me, however.

Just spotted him as well. I was farming ores for my main and saw wee crab walk about. When I approached him, he disappeared just as I managed to get a screenie. :P Did expect as much from him though. Sneaky little thing.
