Regular ground mounts going 100%?

I didn't know that regular ground mounts all go at 100% ground speed! I saw someone on a striped dawnsaber or whatever and was like "WTF are you going?" then hovered over the mount and saw they were going at 100%. You probably have to have trained the 100% ground speed or whatever but when I get out my regular brown wolf mount or something it goes 100% speed, too. Anyway, has anyone else noticed this? I think it'd be pretty neat for RP. I mean really, does my mount have to be armored all the time? X] So yeah maybe I'm just a little slow on realizing things like this but I think it's cool! :D

Yeah this happened when 4.0.1 came out about a month or so ago (same time we got 20 pet slots).

I just realized it a couple days ago myself. At least you're not behind by yourself.

It's also true for flying mounts - All will go at the fastest speed you have obtained.

Note there are a few exceptions I think - the most obvious one is that the sea turtle still only goes super slow on land.
