I have a question indeed
I can't seem to find Ricket, the questgiver. I am at the position she is found in the vid aswell, but no questgiver.

She isn't there every day... just when that Daily is up.

Yeah, once you get Ricket the quest giver with the bombs, don't turn her quest in or you'll lose the bombs. Keep those bombs until you manage to get Jadefang and you can keep checking on him regularly Just got him this morning.

I am curious... can you use the bombs and tame Jadefang... then don't turn in the quest (or wait around), and kill him for the pet?

Ah thanks. I thought she gave out different dailys, from the info i've gathered

I'd put a spoilers warning on this post! A lot of people are keeping the info quiet, because half the fun for some is figuring it out Some people don't realize there's a puzzle involved.

I for one was cursing the devs until I put two and two together and it clicked >.>

Did'nt spawn this time either, but i might try a trick or two
First im going there with my rogue, and gonna try shadowstep, and i'm trying to find a willing shaman to duel there so he can throw me into that cave

I don't see why not. I didn't see any sign of the bombs vanishing after dailies reset.

You could try to get a Druid with Typhoon, duel him and use Disengage. That might work. Trying to find a druid myself

Ive just killed it to get the minipet (i collect minipets:P) ill tame it next time.
Big chance im the first on my server to get the minipet, seeing how many people are telling me grats

Not much of a puzzle when you can just die at the entrance of the tunnel and spirit-fly into it and then res at the top
Doesn't even require the daily to do that...

If you mean the vanity pet, I'm with ya. I tamed a purple shale spider and I'm happy. Vanity pet > tamed pet.

Ooh, thanks for the video! I'm definitely going after the minipet, it's too adorable.

As cute as Shale Spiders are, I don't really want to tame one. They're far too...soulless to me. They really just come across as a walking rock, and while I'm not opposed to unique and varied hunter pets, for my own tastes I can't envision one with any sort of personality or bond. It's too much of an elemental object to me, so....not for me. ^^

anyone got an idea on the spawn timer for this fellow?

Aww. I actually found my orange one on the beta really endearing. His cute little leg movements and his sqeeee! as he charges into combat.

As for respawn timer, I can't say exactly but I did detect him a LOT in the beta. On live I narrowly missed getting him on the first day when the game restarted just as I was running to get him (I could detect he was there). I checked the cave very often every time I was on but only noticed him again ~30 hours later when I just woke up but maybe he'd respawned in between times.

Their sounds are adorable, and they are very cute, but when I have one tamed I just....feel oddly apathetic towards it. I'll adore the minipet as a companion, but as a full fledged pet I just can't attach to one the way I would normally. ^^ I certainly don't dislike them by any means, but they don't feel like a pet for me.

I can confirm that jadefang is on an 11hr spawn timer ive seen him spawn 3 times now and every time jus over 11hrs later,

Yes it helps me a great deal since i am going on 8 hours of looking at the back wall of the same %@$#%^$#@ing Cave.

EDIT:

At long last he did indeed spawn. My girlfriend had to smack me in the back of the head to notice him as my eyes had glazed over a bit. But Jadefang is now mine.

Spawn time for me was approximately 20 hours. My vigil started just after Midnight and Ended at 8:30 PM.

This vigil was constant with me never leaving the office for more 5 mins at a time.
