A cute raptor, such as this one:

I think I mostly picture them as round and fuzzy, with big cute eyes, very similar to the soot sprites found in Miyazaki films like Totoro and Spirited Away. Not necessarily black though, they can come in any colour. :3

I actually think of a really cute, cartoony version of the old-Azeroth worms... I think because of this guy. I wasn't online around the time when wibbles started being used, so when I first heard it everyone was referring to Wibbles. Anyway, in my mind he's super cheerful and bouncy, kinda like a small dog welcoming his owner home.

This, definitely this. Probably because I was just starting to get used to the term being used--it was still really new for me at the time. And then I happened to fly over the very worm in question to go quest when everybody else was partying in Crossroads. I was the mage that asked 'hey...is there a worm in Dustwallow?'

Then I learned he was named Wibbles, right around the time wibbles became a guild thing, and now it's just sorta stuck XD

I've always interpreted "wibble" to be the first half of the noise made by a wobble board, as infamised by Rolf Harris. Which is why I got really confused when I first learned people in the guild were using Wibbles to refer to a being, not a sound. XD
