I don't drink often, so don't get the wrong impression pl0x.

If it's a social event I'll splurge on HPNOTIQ.
If I'm bored at home I'll take a few shots of Smirnoff good ol' cheapo vodka and PvP (I suck at pvp unless I'm a little tipsy, oddly enough).
If I'm broke as all hell and just need something to drink with friends, I'll get Montezuma tequila (I don't enjoy it... but it's kind of like a weird, funny tradition with me).

What about you guys?

My drink of choice would be a Caesar, though I don't think they're well known outside of Canada. It's similar to a Bloody Mary, but with more flavour. Made with vodka, which is one of the only hard alcohols I've never had a 'disagreement' with.

I have Caesars somewhat often at home because I enjoy them, and usually at restaurants and such, but if we're going out drinking or to a bar/club then I'll stick to various highballs, not really picky. As for drinks I never do...I haven't been able to handle rum since my teenage years, and I definitely can't stand tequila.

Is this thread here because of holiday season? Nothing brings out the drunkard in me more than pre-christmas stress, so I wonder.

I'm a SoCo girl. It's so delicious! But I treat myself to it rarely, because every time I have a bottle I have the urge to drink it all at once, so it's a real test of will not to. One glass per day, maybe two. On the rocks.
I also enjoy wine a lot, especially Cabernet Sauvignon from Central Valley in Chile. I have no idea how most of the wines from there manage to hit my pallate's sweet spot.

I gave up on vodka completely after one day in college when I had the WORST headache of my entire life. Not just the vodka's fault ... but it was after 2pm when I realized that putting on my glasses because my eyes hurt too much to try for contacts was a bad idea ... as I'd been ALSO wearing my contacts the entire night/day.

Anywho, I generally stick with rum and cokes (mostly 'cause I can just keep adding one or the other depending on how the night goes and if I have to drive home ;p) or Patron on ice for "special occasions." I did have a fling with absinthe which sadly ended 'cause it's like impossible to get here and my BF hasn't been out of the country in a while. I just LOVE the ceremony associated with it ... it's like the hookah of alcohol. =D

Fav drink of all time is a carajillo, and (though I don't do it justice) I'll sometimes make myself coffee and rum if I'm at home for the night and the pot's not empty yet.

Mm, yes! I'm in full agreement with you there. I also had an absinthe phase for a while a few years back, likewise cut off just from lack of availability. The fake absinthe that you can find just about anywhere doesn't do it, has to be the real thing. I do love the ceremony though, as you said. Very elegant drink, I hope to get my hands on some again in the near future.

No really. I think the only time I've ever consumed anything alcoholic would be something like, where a winesauce is used with a steak. Or whatever. Oh, and one time I had a sip of my mum's Mike's Hard Lemonade because I thought it was normal lemonade (it was in a plastic cup, not the bottle).

Other than that, I am one of the rare college students that made it all the way through college without drinking at all XD Nor did I go out and celebrate 21 with a rousing barhopping session. I'm just boring like that I guess. XP

I don't drink alcohol, but I'm a sucker for those 100% sparkling juice things welches makes. Does that count?:D

if I'm going to have a drink, it's usually rum and coke, at least since the bar I go to has stopped making my favorite drink (red death...no idea what's in it, but it tastes like hawaiian punch with a Ton of alcohol in it...) I don't drink often, but when I do, I can hold my alcohol insanely well....I've only been drunk once in my life, a feat, I don't really care to repeat. =oX.

I'm pretty girly in the fact that I only drink fruity things. Boone's Farm is what I usually drink, rofl. It's like 3$ a bottle so it's perfect for me (a college student). Rum and coke is good too as long as I don't taste the rum. X)
For whatever reason, all beer tastes like cheerios to me and I just can't get over that o___o Am I the only one who thinks beer tastes like cheerios?? Especially Leinenkugel's honey weiss.

Proper beer. Hardly anything that might be considered a 'premium lager' falls into this category. Maaaaybe Budvar. There's a reasonably local brewery that put out a beer called "hobgoblin" that calls itselt the 'unofficial beer of halloween' every year, and that's a winner with me.

The other type of proper beer - light lagers drunk for taste not alcohol, such as a Corona with a wedge of lime, when I'm feeling chilled.

The cS0 shooter (invented by my old CS clan about... blimey, about 8 years ago) - Aftershock red, aftershock blue, sambucca, set it on fire and go!

Red wine (I like a nice Rioja)

Ooh, just remembered a great highball my friends and I made once.

Root Beer + Fireball (cinnamon whisky). Trust me...the cinnamon goes so well with root beer, it's amazing!

Beer mostly as it only takes me 4 to get to the ground 8 if its yank beer(sorry but US beer is poop). So I useally just have 1 or 2 a night but at party I will go all out and yeah useally first girl on the floor XD

I don't do shots after my 18th I was made to have 18 shots and basicly died XD 18's the drinking age here so its the 2nd biggest booze up you useally have besides your 21st.

I'll mostly drink anything but beer. I like Margaritas, and many mixed drinks. I'll drink wine on occasion, my grandfather is a wine salesmen and my Aunt works at a liquor wholesale company, so I've tried it all.

Vodkaaaaa Or anything else as long as it's mixed. I NEVER liked the taste of any alcohol. Absinthe is horrible.

Yep, mostly good beer here too. Though I do like some drinks, including my "special" recipe, the legality of which is disputed. :P

I had one really bad night involving a few consecutive double-shots of Bacardi 151. I was just showing off... and it didn't end so well. >.<

Haven't been able to drink the stuff since.

I've got a bad habit of "forgetting" how much I drank, so I've ended up attempting half a pint of 151. It was honestly the only time I've been drunk enough to forget what the hell I did. I woke up and couldn't find my cell phone. Saw pile of vomit on the floor; queue bad feeling get towel touch vomit and confirm phone was inside said pile
