i joined just so i may share this story, and prolly many more...

Thursday afternoon i hit 85, later that night im "hunting" Karoma and Sambas, and BOOM! the drums and horns of NPCScan goes off! I found Karoma! I land, drop trap, hit haste macro, and then TAME.......

BOOM!

Deathwing comes kills Karoma, takes me down to half HP and gives me "Stood in the Fire", now im pissed, took off for vash to find GC cuz Karoma is dead, luckily i found that crab! named him CaptainPhil (i hope some of you ppl get the reference", back to TH... no Karoma

Friday night, im here on petopia looking up info and auto-flying, and BOOM NPCScan finds Sambas, i tame him! no name yet... no Karoma

Saturday night, still lookin... talked to a guildie about what happened Thursday night, they said to ticket it, and they should give/restore him to me like if I abandoned a pet, so i put one in... still waiting for reply and still hunting atm

Wow man...you had some awesome luck in there, your loss of Karoma is not that big, sounds you got Ghostcrawler and he is an awesome pet in my opinion, and Sambas who I want for a while. Karoma will spawn, im sure about it.

I also have a funny story about Stood in the Fire achivement. I was in Uldum, looking for those camels who take you to mount boss, with my dungeon queue on, a few mins later after i enter the dungeon, I see the folks in my guild who were in Uldum getting the Stood in the Fire achievement. I was pissed off. Anyhow, its an awesome achiv also in my opinion, and dont be sad for losing Karoma, im sure you will find her again.

Oh I didn't knew he actually killed creatures. Well that's one more thing messing the rare-taming up for us.

luck, yes! wed- terrorpene, thur n fri - i stated above, sat i saw jadefang but not the right daily, went back @ 3 still no daily and no jadefang, some tauren hunter got him, dont know how... and ive tried all the lil "tricks" to get there w/o daily, so no luck there

ya he killed the creatures of TH, they respawned back quickly as they do with a high respawn rate due to cata

^^ barely understood what you said m8, you tried getting Jadefang but lost of for another hunter? And got Terrorpene also?! dude, you are Beyond lucky, soon you'll find the new rare deepholm drake?

ya i couldnt get up on the ledge... tried the "d/c" trick (unplug cord for 5 secs), tried shammy and boomkin duel, and tried the nitro boost disengage non worked, but how that tauren got i have no idea

Does it work to blow other players up with that bomb-quest item perhaps? In that case maybe a friend had the quest saved and helped him.

Yes, the bomb can be used to help other players up on the ledge. They just use the explosion to do the same thing that you do to get up there...

*raises fist and shouts to the heavens* Damn you Deathwing!

I have Jadefang- you have to use the bombs from the quest "Underground Economy" - it is a daily quest from Deepholm. There are some youtube videos on how to do it- I got it on my first try with no problem. Good luck, and sorry also to the original poster about Deathwing vs Karoma!

or, you can get to Jadefang any day you want reguardles of if you are on the quest. All you need is the help of one of those worms Just die, and rez on ledge. I just got the shale mini-pet yesterday doing that. Since I am lv 83, and there where no lv 85 hunters around I didnt feel bad about killing him.

Yeah, Deathwing is evil, I think they have him doing that so when we can finally go try to kill him, theres more fuel for the hate fire!

Also, GM's can only restore pets that you have suceeded in taming. Since thay can look up the pet ID of all the pets you've tamed in the past. If his ID isnt there, then theres nothing they will do. Same as if another player cames and ganks your tame, as seems to happen far to often in this game.

you can only death run n rez on the ledge to get jadefang if ur a NE, only the "Wisp" form can fly in the cave, which makes me now wonder if u can get DG by a DK NE to the ledge...

back to karoma... ive marked all the locations that ive found here and wowhead on the map and for the past 4ish days no karoma...

While that does suck, a ticket would be a waste of time cause they'll tell you "Too bad, so sad". Karoma wasnt your pet. He was a mob. If it was your pet and you abandoned it, then they'd possibly restore it.

I have two stories to contribute to this thread!

The first is I hit 85 last night (woots!) and went streight to jadefang. Wrong daily or whatever, idk how you get to him normally, but i just killed myself below the hole and then ghost whisped up to him. Thanks to a random youtube video guy for the idea!

Second was I was trying to get from Uldum to SW, and I posted in general I needed a port. 1 mage replied, but he wanted 30, so I was like F it ill fly. I hit the wings (paid flight path), and on my way through Tanaris, I flew right by deathwing. Got the achiev and didnt even have to die =D

yes a ticket prolly wont help me, but i was told it doesnt hurt to ask...

no rare spawn and mining all day makes rexbox (something something)...

Man, that's some pretty poor luck. >.<
I guess it's nice that you got your achievement, but I imagine you would have much rather tamed Karoma.
Keep at it, I hope you get your spirit wolf soon. Sorry about the deathwing thing. :[

It's so amazingly awful though that Deathwing just so HAPPENED to pop up JUST as you were taming your spirit beast. >.<

it only doesn't hurt if there's a way for the GM to give it to you. Since there isnt, you're getting your hopes up for no reason, sorry to say.

i have always heard of venting about something not happening online and soon it happens
