I don't normally associate voice actors with many of my characters (such as my female Orc hunter).
However, when I rolled my new male worgen alt (Donarc) his VA just randomly popped right into my head.
I now can't look at him without picturing him sounding like Johnny Cash for some odd reason.


Do you picture your toon sounding like anyone in particular?

hmm i would say for my toon... i have no idea.. ill have to actully look at her and think about it a wee bit xD

I've always given my Tauren a middle-eastern type accent. o.o 'cause I really like silithids and the names and stuff so I'd have to pick whatever guy does the intro on the desert campaigns for Rome Total War.

My character's voice actor... man that is a tough one. I think she'd sound a bit like Madlax (from an anime) so whoever did the english voice for Madlax would probably be close to it. Don't ask me why, just in my head it really makes sense.

I always imagined my paladin just with the standard Draenei male voice, it suits him quite well. The undead hunter or the goblin priest though... I'd have to think about that. Goblin might be a bit DeVito-ish, but that's mainly because I don't know many actors/voice actors.

I don't have particular actors I'd want for my characters.

I DO, however, wish you could choose which racial voice you got for your characters. If you go talk to npc's, they usually have 2-3 different voices that they rotate between. The undead, for example, have more guttural voices, like their throats are rotting or they're sick, and then smoother voices, that sound more normal. The blood elves have a stronger voice, and then a quieter one, etc etc. I'd love to switch the voices up depending on character type, just to suit them better.

For my orc hunter Sergmus, I'd have to go with Avery Brooks (Hawk, Capt. Sisko). For my Nelf hunter Setanta, I'd probably go with Michael Clarke Duncan. For my orc Shammy and DK I'd probably have to go with Glenn Close using a voice modifier for the DK double voice.

Yes yes YES!!! I have been wanting this for a loooong time. The NPCs have different voices, so it should totally be an option at character creation to choose one of those three (or whatever the number is).

Ryno, I wuv Jeremy Irons (even though he's like 30 years my senior). If your character sounded like him, I'd probably follow you around all day.

Morgan Freeman ofc! That would be too awesome.

Not really specific actors, but I could envision Casandrau with the voice of the Assassin from Diablo 2. I also seem to envision my Orc Death Knight sounding a bit like Lexaeus.

For my Goblin? Either Joe Pesci or Steve Buscemi, probably leaning towards Buscemi.

My orc hunter Cozzene would be Helena Bonham Carter in her deepest (lol), most serious tone, perhaps her Sweeny Todd voice? With just a tiny sliver-y hint of insanity. Like, she is dead serious, and she WILL go completely nutso at the slightest prompt.

Vertigineux (troll shammy) would sound like Tia Dalma (Calypso) from Pirates of the Caribbean.

Tosca (undead mage) would be ... well, what she came with. I based her personality around that voice.

VonGrimm (undead rogue) would be Bill Nighy. Period.

And I have 6 others with not much personality, thus, no voice actor in mind.

My gnome would have whoever it is that voices High Priestess Lorthuna, from Deepholm. Amazing voice...

My nelf hunter would halfta be Terry Farrell (Jadzia Dax - DS9) Always loved her playful bordering on sarcastic/smartass at times tone, really fits the personality of my hunter.
