If you have Sambas, could you please not run around with him in Twilight Highlands, especially in his spawn points? Twice now I've had NPC Scan go off only to find that he is a pet. I don't mind dealing without the heart palpitations IF I get to keep him for my own. Otherwise it's a major letdown (and cache killer to boot).

Do what you want of course, I'm not your mother! I just thought I'd throw if out there and maybe make it easier for the rest of us!

PS: I understand if you just tamed him and are basking in the glow of Win, but I've seen people just hunting with him down there.

Why would they hunt him down if they have him?

Hunting with him, not hunting for him. =D

well there are those out there that will do stuff like name a rare with the same name, and then when they see another hunter in that area, land and summon that pet to trip npcscan. I had an orc hunter that did that to me for the better part of 2 hours when I was waiting on Arcturis.

There's a hunter on my server that does that. It's incredibly annoying.

I try my best not to lurk around a spawn point with a particular pet out that spawns in the general area myself. There was a hunter on my server that actually -enjoyed- sitting near Skoll spawn points when he was bored, wait for a Hunter to come down within the area to look for him, and then bring out his Skoll pet and watch them frantically panic looking for him. He thought it was "funny".

Seeing as how I spent MANY MANY MANY hours on just hunting Skoll, this guy got me a few times. I reported him for harassment, not sure if anything came from it.

Aww! I had a heart attack while camping him and Karoma, my npc scan went off for Karoma and it was a blood elf that had him. I jumped to my lowbie horde chara and asked her not to do that! And what time she had seen Karoma (she gave me the right one and about 6 hours later I had my own ).

I never take out my hard to find pets in the area that I found them in. Loque? Never take him out in the Basin-I had too many false alarms like that, I hate to do it to someone else.

Good luck hunting! You'll get him eventually.

Yeah, I try not to do it though sometimes I land with a rare pet from the zone if I took a flight >< Then I feel like a horrible jerk, especially since someone did it while I was camping King K.

I had a hunter on the opposite faction do that to me, but it struck me as funny and we both giggled. She left after, I guess she just wanted to see if she could fool someone once.

I have to slightly derail (or get back on topic?) and say good luck. After sitting in TH for around three days, I DC'd out of the game and sat at my desktop in misery. After returning hours later I was both dead and Sambas was cached. Apparently he had spawned right on me right after I logged out and managed to kill me before my character despawned.
