Sambas Respawn Timer?

What is Sambas's Respawn Timer? I hope its a 12 hour respawn because a hunter told me she tame him earlier today and hoping to tame her within the 12 hours. I've been reading people say he is on a 24 hour respawn timer but hope this is not true because I work in the morning and will miss the respawn ><

I got him just shy of the 24 hour mark, but the place was fairly well-camped around the 12 hour mark--it's quite possible I didn't spot him.

I got him after 6 hours of him being killed

I've seen him tamed exactly 12 hours after server restart, and then 26 hours after that.

I tamed him 25 hours after I saw his corpse.

Like I said the other hunter tamed at 9am server and it just spawned at 11pm server :O
